Default New Apocalypse Ork Formations

I've seen 3 new formations, won't go into a lot of detail since I guess they are supposed to be released with the new codex, and I don't want to get my contacts into trouble.
Green Tide: 1 Warboss and 100+ orkz, they have move through cover and multiple waaghs, plus they roll 3 dice on the army waagh.
Shok Attak Battery: 3+ plus big meks plus new snotling unit, you use the apocalyptic barrage with the number in () being the number of meks. If combined, when getting a triple result they create a vortex grenade in the template center, but on triple 1 all meks are removed and the vortex is created on the site of the firing.
Trukk Konvoy: 3+ trukks, strategic redeployment, you can hit a trukk within formation with a S6 hit to add 2D6" to his movement.

They all sound interesting, though I'm losing the will to live painting an endless swarm of gaunts. Goodness knows what doing 100+ Orks would be like.

I doubt that any real Ork player has much problems of fielding 100 boyz.

Those formations sound nice indeed.

I believe the Ghostbusters qoute is "Don't cross the streams."

I don't understand the Trukk Konvoy rule. Why would hitting a trukk with a S6 hit add 2D6" to his movement?

They've probaby stuck rokkit fuel in the engine or something - meaning there is a high chance the engine will blow up or drop out the bottom of the trukk OR it zooms forward at breakneck speed...

Now I just have to convert a bunch of shokk attack guns as having identical ones would be counter-orky.

Of course not - the majority of an ork army is its boyz. Since when was armageddon invaded by a half dozen nobs and some ard boyz?

That's like saying a real eldar army is composed of nothing but dark reapers and wraithlords, or a real marine army is nothing but devestators and dreadnoughts.

They are real in the sense that they use ork units, but the only place you 'really' find those armies is on the tournament table - and I've yet to see one of those in the 40k universe....

It's exactly that.

And about the trukks, they are supposed to be racing to the battlefront and competing, so one "slips the wheelz" and hits other one, this one has to be actually in base contact "to benefit" from the advance.

I'll be getting 3 Spearheads so the trukk formation and Shokk attack i'll be doing. As for the boyz I'll keep painting
