Default Plastic Grey Knight Terminators (at least counts as)

I Posted this on WIP forums but I thought I would post it here too.
Here is what I have so far in my attempt at some Grey Knight terminators.
These are to add allies to my not so Dark Angel Deathwing.
The Squad

Brother Captain

Terminator with counts as Psycannon

I have yet to finish the removal of some mold lines and some small modeling. Hopefully they will be painted by the end of the week, but knowing my painting speed I won't hold my breath .

I like them, would defanantly let them count as GK's, all the WYSIWYG components are in order

look foreward to seeing more!

To heck with *counts as*, they *ARE* Grey Knights. Awesome jobs there.

Any cost advantages over the metal ones?

Those are very, very nice. Even the most stringent of WYSIWYG lawyers would allow those - all the equpiment is there, and they look sufficiently badass.

I second the cost question - are they any cheaper to do than the metal GK termies?

Yeah, very nice. I agree with the previous posters: you will have no problem convincing people that they are Grey Knight Terminators.

Of course this comes along just after I finish buying my entire GK army in metal...

Thank you for the comments.

I used a mix of components from the Tactical terminator box and the close combat terminator box. So far I believe that this is more cost effective than the regular metal GK Termies, but then again I had a lot of bits floating around and used some more pricey bits, but I could have used any plastic bit for a substitute.

The main changes are I made are the filing of the wings on the chestplate and gluing a crux in the middle. I cut the regular terminator helmet to make it look more like a Grey Knight helmet.

The wrist mounted stormbolters are composed of the shield arms from the Close combat termie box appropriate sized left hands, a stormbolter from the regular terminator box and a box magazine from the space marine vehicle stormbolter (they are smaller than the regular magazines and I already used the standard magazines for other conversions). For assembly I cut the hand of at the wrist then glued it to the stormshield arm, then I glued a stormbolter with the hand and magazine cut off onto the side of the shield arm. I then put the magazine I got from the vehicle sprue on the side (now bottom) of the stormbolter, but first notched it with a curved file so it would fit snugly against the stormbolter. I put a little square bit of plastic on the top of the arm to make it look like it was more or less attached to his forearm.

The close combat weapons were easy to make. I used captain Sterns sword for the sword carrier's just by attaching it to the stormbolter arm that I cut the stormbolter off of to make the... Stormbolter arm, can't waste bits can we? The spear is just a thunderhammer with the hammerhead chopped off and any regular plastic power sword pinned on top, the bottom has a rod pinned on to make the handle more of a pole. The sarges spear is the chaos termie sorceror staff with a power sword on top and the arrows and spikes filed off. I also used sammaels sword just glued onto a shield arm for the psycannon wielder (I really like the look of Sammaels sword and had one available)

As for the sacred text, my modeling skill aren't good enough to make anything physical and it will most likely be painted on if I can get it to look right.

I will try and make a step by step tutorial for the helms, they are quite easy to make.
I hope this answers some questions.

That would describe me... and I would definitely allow them. Fantastic job!

I saw these on WiP and they inspired me to make up a couple of placcy GKTs myself.
Excellent work, and thumbs up for the use of bits.

they look really nice, i only have 1 small problem, the brother captain using the chaos lords loin cloth has the small skull keychainy-thing popping out from the symbol you stuck over it, i would try to chop that off

I didn't really know of other sources for long loin cloths so I tried to "loyalize" the chaos lord's one. But now that you mention it the skull does look out of place, I'll try my best to remove it .

Haha! I just noticed I can't spell Plastic, stupid "s" key.

Wow! That was a lot of work I spent the last hour or 2 (lost track) trying to come up with something to explain the helmet making process. Now I present you with my second tutorial ever (so don't expect quality): How to make a Grey Knight Terminator Helmet
Enjoy .

Excellent, I am impressed, I may certainly use that idea with my Grey Knights army.

I made this one to explain how I made the spear/halberds.
Simple construction of spears/halberds

@Spamus, I'll try
