OK,
here's the deal: In two weeks there will be a Fanatic-tourney here in Bruges (Belgium) and I still need to paint up a few models to complete my Ogre-army. I've already posted a thread with some of my models painted so far. They can be seen here. So, in 14 days I have to paint up 40 more Gnoblars, 2 Butchers (1 of them will be a conversion which I still have to do), 1 Bruiser (also a conversion which I wanted to do), 2 Leadbelchers and Gorger. This thread will be my daily report on my progress. Tonight after work I'm gonna start on the first batch of 20 Gnoblars and expect some pics of them later tonight.

Erm, good luck, may the painting-adrenaline be with you...
I would suggest dipping the gnoblars if you have the right equipment, it would make them look very good.

Good luck, not the hardest dead line I've ever heard of, but by the standard you paint, it will be a feet none the less.
Good luck, post progress regularly, not just at the end. TG

OK, Here we go:
Day zero: My first 25 Gnoblars were glued, based with sand and basecoated quite some time ago, but now the actual painting would begin. I'll be painting them in batches of five and the colours on all five of them will be the same as you will see in the pics. This way I'll have between 4 and 6 colours in the whole unit. I'm going for dark colours on the Gnoblars as I feel that they're way too much busy to crawl between the feet of the ogres to have flashy and clean clothes. So, without further ado: here's the first five batch one front batch one back Mind you that the base still needs finishing: the edges need to be painted black and static grass needs to be glued on, but this is a job for later. These five were done on saturday in about two hours time, so that should give me a timeframe of 8 (8 batches of 5) x 2 hours = 16 hours. Which is way better than I calculated before. Day one: As I had to work on sunday, my day one was yesterday and you can see my progress here: batch two front batch two back Again, the dark colours and I seem to like darker colours better than bright colours. I feel that I can bring out the detail more when I'm working with dark colours. Note that there's a lot more that needs to be done on these five, but I'll be doing that tonight after work and after I went wakeboarding. My first butcher has been pinned, glued and basecoated, but I'm not gonna give you a pic of that as I think that's redundant. Next update tomorrow.

Good luck Gobbla.
I've got a Tournament on Saturday (it's currently 7:15pm on Tuesday) I have yet to: Assemble 29 Marauder Infantry, 4 Marauder Horsemen, and BEG God to hasten the delivery of the rest of my marauder horsemen BEFORE the actual tournament. Greenstuff conversion on my Exalted Daemon Paint 48 Chaos Marauders, 3 Norse Marauders, 5 Marauder Horsemen, one Aspiring Champion, one Sorceror, and one Exalted Daemon. Base the entire army, and pack them up for transport. Three days and the tail end of one evening left to do it in. I feel for you, and kick myself Good luck Gobbla the Gnoblar Painter!

I told myself last year it wouldn't be like this again And the year before that... ...and the one before that too ![]() I've knocked up a wicked blingin' regiment of DoW Dwarfs however, and the Warriors and Knights are passable. Suffice to say, the rest are going to be ugly as sin (G.W.'s skin paints SUCK!), but I'll give it a crack... or at least, I will when the house is finally cleared of annoying relatives and hyperactive dogs ![]() I like them Santa Gnoblars by the way Any details on the Leadbelcher and Bruiser conversions you had lined up? Mate of mine, MVA, was aiming for an OKs army for this tourney, but he chickened out and is taking the VCs he used last year

Not yet, my hobbystore is closed on mondays and tuesdays, so I gotta wait till tomorrow to get an additional Battalion box for the Leadbelchers, the Gnoblars and Ogre Bull-parts for the Butcher and the Bruiser.
But I can tell you this: I'm gonna use the sword-arm and additional head from the Tyrant boxed set to make my Bruiser (armed with a Cathayan Longsword) and probably the additional gutplate from the Hunter boxed set. The Butcher will be made from extra parts of the Butcher boxed set (head, arm and bitz)
