Working on a campaign Designer/manager tool.. your input needed

I am working on a Campaign manager (Program) both Viewable on the Internet.. and offline on a Users computer (and possibly their mobile device).

A few things I have thought about that are possible are the following:

- A visitor can sign up for an account
- an account holder can join a campaign.. or generate their own.
- an account holder can have a buddy list
- an account holder can submit completed campaigns for others to use or save for their own private use

Some Features:
- Interactive map (i.e. they can create their own campaign map using pre-fab images on the site.. and possibly in the future submit their own images)
- Special rulesets can be applied to whole campaigns, or single provinces
- A section will be available for a Fluffy story for the campaign
- Campaign Starter (or campaign organizer) can manage members that have signed up for the campaign.
- Campaign Starter can correct any mis representation of campaign data.
- members who participate in battles can post results (results viewable after both/all sides have reported/confirmed data)
- Campaign progress/results.stats can be viewed at any given time
- Battles can be scheduled.. (reminders emailed to the member.. or if they have the client program installed.. an alert will be displayed [user controlled])
- Individuals history can be viewable (i.e. wins, losses, draws.. campaigns participated in.. etc)

Technology ideas:
Account can be managed both online and offline (offline via a downloadable tool) where members can work offline and then sync their content with the online server.

This tool could be used for any Race/game system due to the flexibility of how it will be designed to work.

Goals:
- to manage campaigns in a friendly, fun, reliable environment.
- to build a library of reusable campaigns that anyone could pick up and play
- to create a tool that currently does not exist in the current market.

Let me know what you think.. and any suggestions of features you don't see on this list (keep in mind I have only set up a very basic Birds Eye view of my plans)

you can check out what I did for a campaign here. an interactive thing would be a big plus. If you can figure out how to automate everythign i did then you are the man.

Just curious though, will this program/system be offered for free or would people have to pay for it?

this will be free... I don't have plans at the moment to charge anything to use this. I might need to get some sort of advertising on it or or find sponsors to help with the burden though.. I'm still pondering that part.

Regarding it being fully automated.. not sure what you mean by that. this will be a tool you can use.. it requires user interaction.

Just a quick update everyone.. Almost done with planning all the details of this application.. about to go into Phase 2..

I found out about the Knights Challenge.. and how they award grants for people with ideas that bring communities together along with delivering news and information when its fresh via the latest technology.. and I thought.. hey Campaign Forge meets that criteria..

Please help me and check it out.. and don't forget to Vote!
