Ork Stompa

Hello there, I just saw a pic which may show the new stompa. It is from a German Onlinestore, so it could be from some kind of GW catalogue for retailers.

According to the shop the kit will be released at the 7th of March and will cost 95€ (the same as the Baneblade). The shop lists the new Shadowsword for the same date with the same price.

Notice the Shadowsword is on the same page and release date is March 7th which ties in with the Apoc release rumours, also the cost of 95Euros equates to the UK £60 retail cost. Think we have the first bonafide pic of the GW Stompa. Merry Xmas!

Hmmm, a bit disappointed to be honest. It really doesn't seem that different to the one in the Apoc book and I never really liked that one...

Is this really the Stompa? If so, then im happy. I find it hard to really get crazy, quite yet. The image isnt great and im expecting people to say its just a conversion.

I love it! If it turns out to be the real one i'm more than happy to get 2 of these.

They modified things that I didn't like and now it feels perfect for me!

hmm, i think adding a few more kits to it will make one hell of a stompa, now what to get nice fancy tank or this???? also just think of what FW will bring out to upgrade it?

I had a cuppa with Jervis Johnson just after Apocalypse came out last year. He said that they made a mock-up sprue for the Stompa's in the book, but didn't want to release the Stompa alongside the Baneblade.

With what was said in this month's White Dwarf, I imagine it'll be compatible with the Truk/Battlewagon sprues. If it's got the option to make a Big Mek Stompa and/or Klawstompa too then that'll make me a happy panda.

I wasn't wildly keen on the Apoc book Stompas, thought they were just ok-ish conversions, so aren't thrilled if this is indeed the official new model. But I'll reserve judgement until we see more pics...

I'm really motivated to get my orks up and on the table. That combat weapon is major beef cake; my only worry is the fiddly wire bits breaking during rough handling.
