Default Who needs the next codex-Was Release dates 2009

Hi I haven't seen someone post an up to date release schedule for 2009.

I posted this:

Jan - more orks,
Feb -apocolapse reloaded
March - plastick valkrie and eldar bikes
April - imperial guard
May - chaos dwarfs
June- Dark eldar

....in July last year. I think it needs updating.

Many people noted Apocalypse reloaded was already out, but I think its the new rumored supplement that has been floating around. Especically as the stompa and the shadow sword are plasted all over the GW website.

Also the Chaos dwarfs idea was panned so I don't know what that is but I clearly remember him saying dwarfs... bah whatever...

So the new schedule should include Space wolves right? So lets try and plan it out. I need your help here.

*Updated Last - see end of post*

Jan ---- Ork Stormboyz, Nobz, Gretchin, Battlewagon, and Characters
Feb --- Lizardmen
Mar-- - Apocalypse stuff Stompa/Shadowsword
Apr --- War of the Ring
May ---- Imperial guard
June --- Empire Greatswords, Archers, and Steam Tank (+ some LotR stuff)
July ---- Planet strike. Not Space Wolves. Not Missions book.
Aug ---- Elves for LOR
Sept --- Possible Space hulk re-release
Oct -- --Space wolves?
Nov ---- Beasts of chaos
Dec---- Nothing?

Early 2010
-Dark Eldar

Other 2009 releases:
- Plastic Valkyrie
- Eldar Bikes
- Plastic Daemon Prince
- Assorted Collector's Range/Bitz Packs

2010 Releases
- Dark Eldar
- Blood Angels
- Tyranids
- Inquisition

February is Lizardmen month. I'd say March will see the new apocalypse stuff including the Stompa.
The rest is pretty much guess work, but the way it is now can't be right, since you left out WHF.

January - Ork Stormboyz, Nobz, Gretchin, Battlewagon, and Characters
February - Lizardmen
March - Stompa/Shadowsword
April - War of the Ring (maybe, I don't remember)
May - Imperial Guard
June - Empire Greatswords, Archers, and Steam Tank (+ more fantasy?)

Other 2009 releases:
- Space Wolves
- Plastic Daemon Prince (not sure - could have been pushed back more)
- Assorted Collector's Range/Bitz Packs (including Dark Elf characters and shields, etc.)

Let me know if I forget anything.

I'm kind of surprised at the slots you have the Eldar bikes and DE at. Apart from a single prototype model for the bikes, have people been hearing much of anything about these releases?

edit: loveless's schedule seems a lot more realistic, given what we've heard and seen the last couple months.

Dark Eldar are NOT after Space Wolves according to the latest tidbits I've read. Something else comes in between them.

The bikes are not on the radar as far as I know...

Well, 40K doesn't dominate every month. From recent releases, whichever system gets a major release, the other system gets a Collector's release.

Ork major release - Dark Elf collector's release.
Lizardmen major release - Space Marine collector's release.

Yeah, i heard the Eldar bikes were a 'just a fun concept' and not going to be made at all, I think it would be prudent to drop them off your list till new comments from GW come up about them. (doubtful)

Smokedog, have you read through the Release Dates thread? Pretty sure that'd fix at least the first half of your list.

Valkyrie looks to be coming out in May with the guard codex.

DE are *not* july. SW should be some part of summer/early fall. and they will be the next codex, after the planetstrike supplement after guard.

Isn't there supposed to be confirmation of a 40K missions book to be released soon?
(though I have no idea how soon)

Interesting.

Would that mean, Apocalype/IG major release - Chaos collector's release?
