Att Irish Gamers: Art Exhibition June '09

Hi guys,

I’m new to this board.

I’m an artist based in Dublin and am part of a group exhibition in the Lab gallery, Foley st in early-mid June and have an idea I’d like to put forward.

My work is mainly research based and I’m currently looking at hobbyist activities and creative subcultures-specifically hobbies which involve a level of craft/making and which also involve some sort of social gathering - which is why I'm interested in miniature wargaming.

So for the show I'm looking for people (2) who might be interested in displaying their armies (3-10 days - flexible here) and possibly playing against the other person - the result of which to be displayed in a perspex box as a diorama would be in a museum.

All of this would have to be coordinated but basically I’m just seeing if anyone would be interested? Or would know of anyone who would be interested?

Hey, sounds like a cool idea. I don't live in Ireland so I can't help you but I would like to know more about the way you intend to exhibit this. Would the gamers play as a sort of live performance piece or would it just be a sort of "snap-shot" of the battle displayed in the perspex box?
