Default Secret Box?-full of spam-closed

Seeing as my inappropriate jokes were the cause of Genestealer Baldric's original thread on this topic's demise, I feel I should open up another in its place in order to continue the discussion on an interesting topic.

Further to that I wish to extend my sincere apologies for my conduct on the original thread and I promise to behave from this point forward.

Anyway, I still hope it's Space Hulk.

Edit: Sorry, chaps. Genestealer Baldric started a thread mentioning he'd heard from a source that there was to be a surprise release that nobody currently knows about, I believe he said sometime in August. Hopefully he can post on here to correct me if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately I posted a couple of Michael Jackson jokes which resulted in the original thread being closed on account of spamming. I have well and truly learned my lesson now.

I hope it's a plastic thunderhawk... but that's not going to happen

Someone mentioned a war of the ring starter set.. now that's a neat idea

Ooh. That would be a good thing. WoTR starter or Space Hulk would be good moves imo.

I'd really like another Horus Heresy themed Epic box. I've been looking all over for the old one, but can't find it.

It's Space Hulk. I would be very surprised if it were anything else.

it really doesn't sound like space hulk- and why stop execs seeing something we know is coming out? Plus really don't want space hulk to be a limited run

...From what I have pieced together, this box will be available to be bought by the general public? Its not the black purity seal box that some business' get?

Don't remember the details from the original thread that well, but...

I'm pretty sure it sounded consistent with the release of Planetary Empires, right?

You need to sum up what you are talking about when starting a thread, people will have no idea what you are on about... I don't think I do.

War of the Rings starter box is one of the few ideas that would actualy warrant some heavy security as all the rest of the ideas are more or less leaked already. But it could be Space Hulk as not alot of details are actualy confirmed yet and its a major release that is expected to sell realy well. Planetary Empires are rather a minor release that will only interest a few, so keeping details on that secret seems rather counterproductive.

I really hope its space hulk. The idea of a War of the Rings starter box sounds good as well but Space Hulk has Space Marines in it and Space Marines are GW poster boys. You never know it might be something else.

Seeing as we have no idea what's being discussed I think it's going to be either Snails, Fairy dust, or Leprechaun Charms.

Edit: So we can all talk about a something that may come out at sometime to arrive somewhere for something. Maybe.

There is supposedly a secret box release in august that is even kept secret from most inside GW. It could be something we have heared absolutly nothing about but I think Space Hulk is pretty likely as we have heared a few whispers about that and its a pretty big release that is also in more direct competition with other boardgames so that may be why there has been more secrecy then normal. GW's normal releases has very little direct relation to other companies so its only of passing interest for them.

thats allright of the lesson learnt no harm done, ive done it before as well.

well a breif summery of what had found out is

  • August/september they are selling a box set for around £50

its compleatley stand alone set that is not related to any race

it is somthing that GW has never done before so Space Hulk/thunderhawk looks less likey now

my local store is only getting one shipment when that sells out thats it no more avaible it is very limited run

You cant advance order you have to be the on the day to get it

its not plantery empires that has a realise date

    it is a board game

very limited people know what it is blueshirts have told me what they know and the blackshirt just avoids the question

it likely to be 40K related but not confirmed its deffinatley for the 40k universe.

think thats about what we got in collabrated info between various people, GW is keeping very closed liped on this subject, dramitically increasing intrest in new realise.
