Just in from an inside source, GW will be creating a plastic rhinox kit when the new OK book comes out. (cant say when it will come out) With this kit you will be able to make a scrap launcher, rhinox ridden by a bull or a third variant that will be a gnoblar fighting platform.

OK Stegadon spam for the loss!
![]() (Who was it again who predicted that all new books would get hordes of big monsters? Oh, right, that was me! ULF is right again... for the 100000th time. There you go, tactical gameplay, you'll be missed!)

That makes sense. Every new army shows up with a big impressing kit nowadays (Trygon, screaming bell, stegadon, etc.) I really hope they do something good with the OK. I really like the look of the army, but the rules are a big let down.

Let's just hope the kit is made by someone who knows how to do plastic fur properly. Pretty much all the previous attempts have failed (chaos hounds, dire wolves, minotaurs).

I hope this kit turns out nice, I could then turn it into something for a chaos army. Recent fury models haven't been all that fury though- minos, clan rats, etc. I think it suited the clan rats, but on the larger minos it didn't look right at all. I'll just wait and see with the hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Really, though how far wrong can they go wrong when all they have to do is copy the forgeworld kit? As for all the new centrepiece models, I really like them, they're some of the best kits GW does. I just wish that the newer armies couldn't include a half dozen of them (slight exageration, I know) as it wrecks the aesthetics of armies- making them look more like warbands- and spoils the game play too.

Remember, first and foremost, GW is a business. They need cool kits to attract buyers AND to give a higher chance of more purchases, it's smarter to make sure that option can be used for either mulitple armies (plastic giant, plastic chaos spawns which are also useful in 40K), or multiple times within an army (high elf dragon, stegadon).

i would love to confirm or seny what i have or have not seen/played with. but it seems everytime i bring up a good rumor, despite my good track record, i get a warnign or the thread gets closed and im accused of spamming. this has tightend my lips quite a bit.
i got a 2nd level warning. for what? what forum rule did i break. i want to be cited publicly. and before i get the whole "contact us privately" response, i might point out that my warning level is public. and i have been acused directly of spamming (what?) from an admin. but i digress. yes there is a large 100+ piece, multi function kit for OK. it used a rhinox and its base. also the giant will have more than a "tacked on feel" now i wait for my ban. |

I personally like anyone who posts rumours (not random rumours, mind, but those that most of the time are right). If I were to have an issue with your posts, Stepping (and I don't), it would be the attitude. Kind of victimistic. But hey, I don't care.
Anyway, let the OK be out soon so we an again forget they exist. God how I hate them, and the fact that they are coming before TK gets me.

stepping if you have solid rumors as it seems open a thread on OK rumours...and let us to know what you have heard....i don 't think you take a warning or ban if you do this....
gnoblar hero choice riding a giant sounds very interesting....and also very very funny.... Last edited by The Exiled One; 07-02-2010 at 17:00. |

They might be able to reasonably replicate mechanical models like baneblades in plastic, but the detail of resin or metal creatures isn't going to come through in the same way. Simple limitations of the medium.Plus, if copying the FW model is the logical route, you can bet GW won't take it. And it has to run the gauntlet of the GW design team too...

![]() But I'd like to ask you if the Ogres are stronger than before, and where is the level of power they have reached in this new edition? Better than Beastmen, or dark elves, somewhere between?

Anyway this is great news. I have never got around to buying a scrap launcher and this stops me from bidding on one on ebay. |

@Silashand: I totally agree, exept for the making money-part. GW have not released models for most of the latest monsters and if they really had money in mind when they wrote the rules, you could bet that the gigant would be a lot cheaper/better.
Kind of OT: My slave gigant already have a gnoblar riding it, so it seems I`m all ready for the new version
