Pre-Heresy (Fallen) Dark Angels

Some more of my Pre-Heresy or Fallen DA Army, plan on adding some jet bikes when I get the time, another Dread, and Landraider with Tac Squad. Oh and an Assault Squad.

Do you actually field that many Land Raiders?

I have done once. Lost one in the first round of shooting :-( normally use them as Rhino's though, due to points, with just the pintle mounted bolter.

wow dude, thats a really nice looking themed army, noticed alot of older parts mixed in with the new how long did it take to compile it all?

Thanks mate. the core of it took about 4 months. I had the time. I've still got an assault squad and another landraider and tact squad to add as well as some of the rogue trader jet bikes before I deem this project finished lol.

Really nice looking Fallen - I found them when I was doing research for my own 'fallen' project.
I was not sure if your fallen were tainted by chaos or not - until I saw that guy with his tongue hanging out ! cool, subtle model.

I have a bunch of the RT beakies that I've been trying to decided what to do with - I doubt I'd have the guts to mix their parts with new stuff. Great idea - looks cool.

Thanks. I chop and change between fallen chaos and loyalst's though. the dude with his tongue hanging out I condisder to be a burns victim if they're loyal lol.

I've used several of the old beakies. If you do this you'll need to raise the helmets by putting a blob of green stuff in the neck mold. find it makes the model look hawkish.

Can I ask how much does this come to and what models are there? As I am finding it hard to tell from tactical squads and vet squads lol

points wise it's strictly speaking around 2000. There is a Tacical Squad top left with LR a Command Squad in the Middlle with LR 2 Devistator Squads on the right with LR and another Tac Squad at the front with Rhino. It's first objective is as a modelling project and uses parts from evry box set avaliable just about. It doesnt strictly follow the fourth addition rules but is 97% correct. On the odd occassion I do play a game I tend to use the LR's for example as Rhino's. Plan to add an assault squad, and another Tac squad with landraider. also have some RT Jet Bikes to add. There's also a few limited addition models but the aim was to make the Army look old grizzled. The finished project should be around 3000 points.

Absolutely wonderful army. I love the overall theme, and the level of work you have put into tying it all together yet making effort on individual models is great. I also like the use of old minis and parts.

I hope you are very proud of these guys on the tabletop!
