"INCOMIIIIING!"
Korrek ducked and covered his head instinctively, offering a prayer of thanks to the Emperor that he was showered only in stinging dirt rather than flesh rending shrapnel thanks to a nearby wall. His gratitude at his own survival seemed selfish a second later as the horrid stench of burning flesh reached him. That's one thing you never get used to about war, he thought sadly. Trying not to look in the direction of the incinerated corpses of his fellow soldiers Korrek lead his unit to the next piece of cover, the bombed out shell of an old hab-block. Tired and demoralised by days of heavy fighting, every step tested his will, Korrek's strength long since sapped along with that of his men. The proverbial straw that broke the camels back was a searing blast from a Las Cannon. It was overkill for the enemy to use it on troops, but then who could blame them when Korrek and the other Guardsmen didn't even have tank support out here. Two soldiers fell an instant after the laser melted a giant hole through their chests. Korrek could take no more. This is wrong, he thought. In fact, this is madness, beyond reason. Command may be able to send these men to die but I can't, we don't even have frikin' tank support out here.

Mvoll’s life

By: Andy M.
‘Go go go!’ yelled Sergeant Vixen. Lasfire from the building about 30 metres from the squad was starting to pick up. Squad Two, Platoon Three, Company One, 612th Cadian Regiment started to run where Sergeant Vixen had pointed. They pulled themselves from the crater they were in and ran like madmen. Lasfire peppered them, and with a horrible scream Trooper Mvoll went down. Assistant Sergeant McDavis ran to him, braving the lasfire the heretic scum were firing at him. He looked at Mvoll, and turned him over onto his back. His chest was a bloody mess, blood was flowing freely. Doc Gordon, the platoon’s medic, called to him.

Wherein Beauty Lies

Her name was Sintasia, and I knew from the moment I layed eyes on her I was damned.

When she walked through the door to the pound bar, I knew instantly I would do anything to have her. So thought every other male in the joint. But, for some reason, she picked me. God-Emperor help me, I don't know why, but she picked me. I think she knew some how that I actually meant it.

She was gorgeous. Perfect, really. Had the build of a dancer, the grace of a cat. Her skin was dyed a shocking, lurid electric pink, in stark contrast to her hair, which at that angle happened to be day-glo blue. She only had half a head of it, for her left side was bald. The hair remaining on her right was fashioned into some sort of spiked arangement. I would later find out that was the only hair on her entire body.
