First things first- thanks a lot for all the efforts! This really looks great- while I do like the other magazine *gasp* I really appreciate the greater amount of depth you guys go into with your articles. If I may make two suggestions, however, I would first see if it is possible to break this down into multiple downloads much like The Firebase is. I realize the difficulties that cropped up with this initial posting, but just a future idea. The second suggestion was that while the selection of Warhammer Fantasy was AMAZING (did you even leave any WHFB army?), I noticed there was a lack of other fantasy GW systems (a la LOTR). Again, I realize this initial effort was headed up by only a small handful of people, so I am sure this will be a non-issue the next time around You guys really threw the gauntlet down for the boys at WD to get back to the basics of cranking out LEGITIMATE, HIGH QUALITY articles. Congrats! Re: The Watchman

Why should LOTR be in a WHFB magazine? Re: The Watchman

I agree with the last comment. Although LOTR is a fantasy game, it is a game on it's own. The only thing connecting WHFB and LOTR is that GW make them. Great magazine btw guys. Good work ![]() Re: The Watchman

Congratulations to everyone involved, it was a great read. Glad you persevered through the problems, it was worth the wait & can't wait for the next issue! Re: The Watchman

Well, I guess I misinterpreted things. My thoughts were that this was supposed to encompass all fantasy (little 'F') related material while The Fire Base covered the Sci-Fi aspects of GW (40k and Necromunda). There was (albeit brief) a mentioning of Mordheim, so was just curious if there were plans to include LOTR as well. Re: The Watchman

The mag is covering Warhammer Fantasy. This will include WFB (primarialy), Mordheim, and Warmaster (Assuming we can find articles for it.) Mordheim WILL make a big showing in issue 2. Re: The Watchman

Thanks for a great magazine. It was as good a read as the last 10 of the ”other” magazine put together. Can’t wait for the next issue. Fantasy are all the games that take place in the Warhammer World: Fantasy Battle, Mordheim, Blood Bowl, Warmaster, Warhammer Quest and Man O’ War. Re: The Watchman

Excellent work chaps. A couple of suggestions though - you might want to consider compressing the background images somewhat - whilst they really add the the polished look, they are really bulking out download size, and make page browsing in adobe much slower! Also, consider doing a fade on the backdrops (50% opacitiy maybe?) this will make the text in front far easier to read. On the same note, the battle report was great, but the pictures where overcompressed, lossing defenition and making it hard to tell which unit was which. Nice format though! There are a lot of cunning tricks you can do with adobe to ensure you get the best quality for the lowest file sizes - with a bit of optimisation I reckon you could have this issue down to 10 meg, and have a lot of the pictures looking a good bit sharper. Content wise though - awesome. Keep it up. #Wonderdog Re: The Watchman
