Isn't that just the limited one that was sold together with the WE army box?

Nope, its quite different from the limited edition SB, but the paint job and the overall model makes me think it could be a conversion. The only thing is that the website contains information about it's release and price etc..

If thats not a conversion and is the actual mini, then i think it looks much better than the army box one.

Yes, in fact that is an actual mini, not a conversion, I´ve seen it in shop near me. Limited Edition, but still you know GW´s policy, thats just a trick to get people to buy it. Thought its a great model.

Edit:
Ah, translating the description of the model, as it roughly says: Fantasiapeli (an independent stockist here in Finland) Limited Edition figure, which will be put to sale in GW Mail Order in the early 2006.

Should be getting at least one new hero on foot as well.

Very nice model.

Far better then the army deal one.
Does it mean GW will be doing direct only BSB's a year after release of Army Deals. That would cause a drop in e-bay prices of limited minis and help GW gain even more cash.
I mean some peaple buy on e-bay because they are collectors and others because they do not convert and need a BSB. and the latter ones could be a target group for these minis.

It seems like a good think to make a wood elf BSB, seing that so many people use them.

I still think its strange that theyre making all the minis some time after the book was released, so most people have already converted theirs.

His face is quite ghostly in appearance.

He look more like a new undead BSB.

Don't know if this is true or not, but a friend who's at the moment in Finland told me it's a 'finland' only model, apperently to promote the hobby there. Seems a little strange to me, but it might be up for sale later in the rest of the world, who knows.

As far as I have understood, Fantasiapelit (a chain of gaming stores around Finland) got it for sale on their 20th anniversary week in late November, apparently as some sort of special show of good will from GW or something. Their website is not too specific on the background information, however

Showing such favour for an independent retailer sounds a bit odd for GW (especially for one acting on such small market as Finland), but this store has stocked a full range of GW and Citadel products from late 80's onwards, and has stores in seven different towns. Without them it is quite unlikely that the sales of GW products in Finland would have grown to the level they are now.

I guess a bit of profit could have been made by picking one of those models from the store and ebaying it, but I doubt many people would have bothered to do that (considering that it cost 10 euros in the store).
