View Full Version : Wolfbane paints what he wants

I tried to get my space wolves together for the GenCon cup, but it didn't happen. Now I'm a little burnt out on painting Space Wolves, I'm gonna take a break and just paint what I want.

So I've had this reaper fire giant for a long while and now he is finally complete.

Close up of his ugly mug.

What I have on the bench.

Reaper Mini's
Lots of them, my girl and I spent close to $200 at Reaper's GenCon booth.

Lots of space wolves; gonna be slow with them. Especially since I have a lot of ideas for new models (I made them when 4th first came out, took a break from the game, and now I was trying to paint them). Might not touch them till I get my damn 4th edition codex

Demonhunters, I'm wanting to start a Thorian DH army. This will be my fun army, not all too balanced, but how I want it to be, and with the models I want to play with on the table top. Going to try (doesn't mean it will happen) to make truescale grey knights.

x2 orc burna boyz (just cause I love the models)

Gonna shoot for a weekly update, but hopefully more frequent.

Took pics of what I have done for my DH army.

Inquisitor Lord

Two acolytes in Power Armor

I've always thought that the combat servitors look a little puny, so I made one that would scare people that don't talk.

And the Lord and his ret so far.

i really like the inquisitor and the acolytes. The servitor seems like a brute, not just a working servitor. I love the movement in the inquisitor.

cool dude, what heads did you use for the acolytes?

@mag - Thanks for the compliments, hopefully I'll get some painting done on Monday when I have off.

@shadow - Chaos warrior heads with the horns shaved off.

Well I wish I could have posted more this past week, but there isn't anything to post. I am getting married soon so I have a lot of stuff to run around and do before the big day.

But after closing following doghouse (dare I say the father of true-scale?) and Synapse's true-scale threads, it got me thinking about what would be the best way to illustrate a true-scale marine?

Surrounding them with normal humans. So I am going to "attempt" to make grey knights true-scale. I don't want to go crazy on the height so I will be staying closer to doghouse's scale (no insert in the legs). I can't wait to see doghouse's rumored true-scale termie because I want to include a Grey Knight hero in the army as well to teleport down with my teleport attack GK's.

So all in all, work and thinking has been my only progress in the past week. Here's hoping to a more productive week.
