Well, for the first time in 10 years I dusted of my blood bowl team.
Our club has just started playing BB.
I was a bit rusty on the rules, but we muddled through. I won 1-0 :D
(more due to luck than judgement;))
I got my Halflings out. I'd used them once about 10 years ago.
My they're a dirty bunch of gits.
I was fouling up and down the pitch.
I killed three players (including a rat ogre ) with no losses.
Unfortunately it was a one off game, and not a league match.
I'm going to paint them up in the morning I think.

Loads of fun.

3x Re-Rolls,
and 50,000 left in the bank. (I may re-jig the team a bit, and I'm toying with adding a master chef)
Pictures to follow...

Are you playing LRB5 and if so are Star Players allowed?

Because if that's the case you should recruit only 750K worth of players and extras then leave the rest in the bank. This means you'll be able to field Deeproot against most opponents and he's a massive improvement for the team. He gives you a third treeman to put on the LOS, he doesn't take root and he has ST7 + Block. He's amazing and with a team like Halflings you need every bit of help you can get.

Also the 250K gives you plenty of cash to replace dead flings.

I can't recommend doing this enough, it doesn't make you massively competitive, but it does go a long way towards doing so.

we are using LRB5.
I'd use Deeproot Strongbranch, but that would involve buying another treeman :D
The way things go in the club, we'll play BB (this happens with every specialist game) for a month or two, then it'll die out.
I'll just have to make do with the models I have.

Looking good mate,
I would dull down the inking on the treemen as they seem a bit shiny.
Other than that I really like the color scheme and once you have tidied them up and based them the will look really good. (It's Jono's fault, if a model isn't based it just doesn't look right.)

I really like the last pic, I especially like the shading on the armour and helmet and you did a good job on the face.
