I've seen this listed on a couple of online retailer sites, and it peaked my interest. I think it is (or was) due to come out 06/09/08 to coincide with the AoBR set.

Thing is I can find no picture of it, or any mention of it on GW's website.

Does anyone know anything about it or have a picture of it?

I only ask as I'm a sucker for limited edition stuff:)

I don't know about this product, but I just bought myself a brilliant tape measure with a built in laser for checking line of sight: http://www.gizoo.co.uk/Products/HomeGarden/DIY/LaserLevelTapeMeasure.htm It's perfect for gaming, although if you like DIY, I warn you that although the spot laser is great, the adapter to make it project a horizontal line really sucks. You get a curved line!

I think thats just the regular tape measure, not a LE one. And honestly, what can be so great to make a LE version? I'm a bit of a sucker for LE too, but a tape measure? That's just sounds so silly to me, it's a common tool for heaven sakes.

I completely understand the need to own a special tape measure. Like a pair of lucky pants. :D

I know sounds crazy as I don't even game, I just like fun sort of 'tat' - don't know why really, but hay ho!!

I already have the red one, the sites I have seen definitely said limited edition, and was going for 3.60 (with discount). I think the red one is 3.00.

No idea why they should release one either really, I assumed it was to do with AoBR, or the new marine codex or something.

The blurb on it claimed it was AoBR related and had SM & Orks on it is someway.

That would figure.

Where did you find this out?

Do you have a link or anything?

Cheers.

This. Many manufacturers exist that make much better tape measures.

it's not coming out, we got it through as an email from head office :)

That is not surprising since it was supposed to be out with AoBR and there is no hint of it any where other then the release list a few months back.

You will be able to pick up one of my tape measures (for free) at Games Day on the 14th September.

Just go to the Tale of 7 Samurai game in the historical area and ask for one. And yes there are only a limited number (about 100).

The limited Ed one was marines/orks, and cost 4 instead of 3. It was dropped before the release, no idea why.

Maybe they figured that one overpriced tape measure was enough.:)

Or perhaps poor old GW really does need to save the pennies.
