View Full Version : Good Amazon proxies.

Ello chaps.

Right, I've been jigged into getting my old Amazon team back out for a few games with some friends; I've always used proxy miniatures for them thus far as I was testing out how the team played, etc.

Now, I'm not overly keen on the GW Amazon team, tbh, it just doesn't do much for me. Can anyone recommend any suitable alternatives? Or any bits I could build a team from? Wood Elf bits, perhaps?

Any ideas gratefully received.

I saw the greatest figures for a proxy Amazon team the other day!! :D Check these out! http://www.tritex-games.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4073&osCsid=1fb2aee602ec4cd6454f36f7f7a69861 The great part about these figures is that they can work downright perfectly for a Norsca team or even a Chaos team, too!

Hah! They're brilliant! Perfect (aside from the price-tag, but whatever...)!

Thanks for pointing those out, I really like them. Hmm, roll-on my work bonus!

I'm happy I could help out! :D One of these days I'm planning on picking up a set of that, too just for the fact they're awesome figures.

I use Phil's Phigs/Impact! Miniatures Valkyries as my Amazons and just painted them for a tournament.
You can see pictures here (http://warseer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2923139&postcount=73).

Nice painting, Emperor, but I'm not overly keen on those.
I like the styling of the Tritex team a lot now I've seen it.

Btw, I love your Bretonnian team.

Please post pictures of the Tritex team if you get it. It looks promising, but I can't really make out the details in the pictures on the website.

Yeah, that's my concern; but yes, of course, if/when I do.

nothing beats the female shadowforge models for pure female cheesiness of course:

they are a lot cheaper too

Those Virus' sculpted mini's showed up on TBB a few months ago. There's not many pics of the finished minis about, but here's some:

I own a team, but they're in my "to-do" pile (which is everso slightly biogger than my "done" pile!).
