View Full Version : Whats my Dragon?

I have a large plastic dragon which appears to be Minaithnir.

He has a different tail and jaw and no rider although has a space for a rider.

I also have some clear plastic dragon wings that seem identical. Definitely not resin copies.

Anybody have any ideas about this?

Could it be Deathfang, Asarnil's dragon?

This is VERY much the wrong section. Try fantasy general.

i always thought minithir was metal.... my neighbour has i think the 5th Ed one though... i dunno what else it could be though....

Minithir is plastic with the basic dragon sprue and a special sprue to make him Minithir. I believe that only the rider is metal in that box. (it's at home, can't look at it now.)
The wings are suspect. I know that my kit has regular grey plastic wings.
Clear plastic sounds like a knockoff to me; most craft store bought casting resins are clear.

But clear could be cool. You could model all sorts of lighting effects with that if you take the time.

The larger part of the dragon is plastic. It's the same as the Dogs of War dragon. Only it has different metal parts, like the head and possibly the tail.

Imrik is a metal model.

I believe there was a space where you could put the rider. If he was slain you could fill the gap with a 'plug'.

There was a generic plastic dragon released in the mid 90's which was then used as the base of the old HE, DE dragons as well as the DoW one.

The clear plastic wings are definietly injection moulded BEng in deign and manufacture plus I have done some resin casting. The bits of sprue are perfectly formed and sharp.

Will sort out some pics
