UPDATE: I know I am really quick, but it was already done I just needed to take some pictures of it, I really like how it is turning out.

Nice building, not sure about the fan position, if it rains on your world it would fill up with water! maybe add a small building and put the fan on the side?

I was thinking that it could be a venting system for the underground pipe works or something of that sort I was also thinking of having table rules that if you walked across it different things could happen like gas appear or you get blown over.

Well this is the first time I have seen this logg...

I have to sa y you are off to a great start.
I realy like that you put glass in the windows with lazer holes burnt in it.

For hand rails you could cut up some 1/4" screen wire mesh to look like railing.

Ps. the ratio of views to post arond here is about 300 to 1

You can never have enough rubble. As for color, as long as it is not gray or black.
Look at modern buildings. Many have two tone colors.
You could paint it green up to the first window, then tan all the up from there.
Uses different colors on different floors and rooms on the interior too.
I have even used doll house wall paper on interiors in the past.

Good work. Am a bit tired of ruins in 40k, but meh... it looks good. At least you're doing a scratchbuild.

Ok so I did some of my photoshop magic and tried out putting color on it what do you think? The first floor would be like the entrance to the underground stuff so it will be industrial with blues and grays while the second floor would be like offices.

The idea is good, it looks like there is some sort of underground complex, lower levels of a hive, or something like that beneath.

That being said, I think the upper surface of the fan housing needs some additional detailing. Maybe a mesh overlay to prevent stuff falling in? Perhaps a small power box, control box, or similar at the corner where the wires go? Painting it so it looks metallic instead of like black plastic will probably add a lot as well. I know it is still WIP, but right now it still looks like a computer case fan.

Lots of potential, and I've gotten a few ideas from it myself. Thanks!

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives. :D

Thanks, I have thought about putting screen over the fan but I like the idea of a control box I might put one in the building, I am also planning on some sort of door on the ground to elude to the lower levels. I also talked to a friend of mine and tried out keeping the colors more on the earth tones

I like those colors. Maybe a sign on the building and some information type plaques on the doorway?

looking good you need to put some type of grating or mesh over the fan though.

Nice stuff you have going on. Only criticism is that the 'bullet' holes look too symetrical. Sporadic - clustered holes would look more 'realistic'. Still, nice scratch building!

nice, i think the fan needs some mesh over the top, or small animals/children/servitors are going to die a lot on your world ;)

Building looks good. I could definitely see some terrain 'humor' to emplace. Such as signs: "Top Secret Imperial Facility" and "Only the Heretic asks questions about undergound facilities." Maybe even "Warning, thermal vent is Womp Rat sized, please keep yours away."

Can't wait to see it painted.

I agree, a nice mesh grate over the fan will add a lot to the piece. You can get it cheap at hobby stores too!
