View Full Version : Ice World Terrain

I made this for legion of Everblight, but it could be for an ice world.
I wanted to make it look like the ice crystals were coming up through the ground.

Pro. I have to ask, how did you manage to get the snow to look like it kinda just fell into the little crevaces and stay there so easily? Most of the stuff I see is pretty much just sticking to the places where everyone put a bunch of glue on and nowhere else. This looks very realistic!

I mix snow with glue and it pretty much will stick to wherever I place it.

WoW! Gave me a chill... Very nice stuff and an inspiration for me as I've always wanted to do an "ice planet" type of terrain.

I still haven't done the bases on my figures yet, because I'm debating on doing the ice stuff... :)

This stuff is amazing! You have to write a tute!

The snow looks very realistic!

Maybe you could put some flickering led under those crystals, to give them some effect. Just get you hands on one of those led candles, partly destroy it and put it under the crystals. You would have to partly destruct your crystals as well though. In a bit darker room it should look just like the WarSeer logo! An idea that came up when I saw them and the logo above. They already look great without anyway!

Thanks everyone!

Raellos- I'll be doing a tutorial that will be found at my blog.

What kind of glue do you use? And do you mix it in with the normal GW cocaine-powdered snow?

19-03-2009, 00:15
That is fantastic stuff! Getting chills just looking at it!

This is excellent stuff! The detail is great, and the ice looks terrific!
How do you make those ice crystals? Or do you buy it somewhere? Or is it rock crystal?
