Why doesn't GW use the Forge World miniatures as the mainstream ones? I would love to get some Death Korps, but they are so expensive.

Resin cost a crap load more then plastic. And they are starting to convert over models. Are you new to the game?

Makes sense. I thought they were made of plastic.

Are you new to the game?

Yeah, I've been reading about Warhammer forever, but only started playing a little while ago.

Forge World makes miniatures in resin. They are pretty much hand casted, and could not be mass-produced for the mainstream.

GW is starting to get quite a track record for taking Forge World designs and making them in plastic however. They are unlikely to do DKoK though.

It's real simple
GW is a big company with it's hands in many pies(departments)
the plastics is a main line, the resin FW stuff is a smaller, secondary line that is there for people who have a big wallet, like a bit of variety in their games or are model nuts.
