I read Legion, and while there was some content I hadn't seen there was nothing that made me gasp as I had been led to believe. Can someone explain what was so revelatory, as I appear to have missed it.

(please, no comments on the quality of the writing/author, we all have our opinions)

Thanks

Its the ending, when the legion turns to chaos to ultimately help defeat it

See, I thought I'd heard that before. Been reading this stuff for so long it all kind of blurs in so I may be confusing with another mythos though.

Well you also have the other potential

They didnt actually 'turn' to chaos as a legion at all and they may well still, mostly, be loyalists.

or they even:
just turned to chaos because Alparius thought Guilliame was a d*ck :p

fluff contradiction; some, people get worked up about this especially around the HH series

So did any of those "make you gasp"? I do remember 2 Chaos Codexes ago they almost seemed to make you feel sorry for some of the legions, as though they had a point, then that almost went away. I think thats what I find interesting about the HH books, and why I was dissapointed with the Mechanicum book.
