View Full Version : Red Scorpion's Armour Pattern

Good evening to all!

Okay, the forge world models of the "Red Scorpions Veteran Marines with Sergeant Haas" are the miniatures in question. Here's the link for an image of them:

I was wondering, are they using MK.IV "Imperial Maximus" armour helms and breast plates or modified versions of them? As that is what it appears to be, to me anyway.

I have this link for reference, as well as:

If it IS Maximus Armour, then the snout has been shortened.

Just pondering using this (filling in aquilla with scorpion icons with green stuff ;)) conversion set for my Pre-Heresy strike force of Emperor's Children.

Thanks in advance.

its maximus armour, they seem to have the same helmet as the old apothecary model. i used to have an army of them, the scorpion is hardly noticable easily removed/filled in

Ah thanks Mannimacro.

So the helmet isn't maxmius pattern, just the armour?

helmet is maximus to i belive, odd that a fairly new chapter would be packing so much old armour variants but hey whatever its cool

the Red Scorpions are all about the old - they are pure conservatives, they hate change/ad-humans/mutations/and cowardice/sneaking.

I would assume the reason why they have old armor is just that - also FW released a heresy era landraider for them as well - obviously loaned from their parent chapter.

not complaining, every time i order somthing i always put "heresy era armour sets" in the wishlist so maybe theyre listening to us now

Nope, it's definitely entirely Mk 4 armour, even the helmet.
