Anyone know of some cheap alternative zombie models?

Well, theres the bags of them you can get for the "Zombies" boardgame - IIRC it was about 5 for 100, at about25mm scale.

And the game they're for is pretty sweet too.

Black Tree Designs (i believe it is called this nowadays), formerly Harlequin had some nice 28mm zombies for their Drakul armies.. i still have some around.

Good stuff, and I'll definetly have to check out that game. Can't go wrong with Zombies.

Went in to pick up a copy of the game myself (had only seen it and the bags in store, not tried or anything), and thee is a new game in the same vein MidEvil, which is an Army of Darkness style game, with medieval skeleton warriors instead of zombies.

I've got all of Twightlight Creation's Zombies games. There are 4 of them, plus an extra pack of new event cards. All great games, and they can be played together for a real apocolypse survival! I also have the new Midevil, though I don't like it as much. Its a bit more complicated, and needlessly so.

As for the original post, what kind of models are you looking for? Fantasy, modern, sci-fi?

I'm hoping to pick up some of Cold War's zombies (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/richard.dickens1/coldwar/dww.html) sometime. I'm working on a new zombie-survival game set in the modern era, and these will go nicely for it.

There's also www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk- they have a few modern/futuristic zombies.

How would those zombie dogs look in 40k?

I need zombie dogs and its either pay 3 for one in GW or 7 for 100 over that site.

Its basically a stopgap until Billr sculpts some and i buy loads of them. Check out P&T for Billr's kickass self sculpted zombies

Probably a touch small - think you could get away with them in LotR though (if there was a use for zombie dogs)

Zombies!!! models are rather small. Probably 20-25mm, though I haven't had them out of the box in a long time so my memory is a little fuzzy. Also, the models are made out of a hard rubber/soft plastic, so they bend very easily, which could be problematic for painting them.
