View Full Version : Faulty Cardboard Section!
I received my space hulk today and it mostly made me happy...but one bit made me sad :(
One of the cardboard sections has a fault where the lamination has pulled up and away from the surface. This has obviously happened durring manufacture rather than post manufacture as a doubled over section has been cut along the line of the perferation.
I will not be returning/exchanging my copy as the fault is only minor on the actual gaming piece and i feel it would be a waste of set, but I have email GW to convey my dissapointment at the quality control they had in place.
Has anyone else found anything wrong in their boxes or am I the the unlucky 1 out of ~100,000 ?

Most likely you are the one unlucky guy. I had the same problem on a codex once. Hopefully you can keep the rest of the set as well. :D
Good luck,
Rolf.

I got mine too but none of the sections had that problem. Sorry to hear that dude.
I had a stealer arm snapped off, but otherwise was all fine.

The problem with that happened at the printers, so really not the fault of GW. But I reckon if you tell them they will get you a replacement, they might have a lot of faults but replacing damaged or faulty bits isn't one of them, not in my experience any way. Let them know, what have you got to lose?

I've got incorrect mission books. The pages go:1-9,12,9,12,13,16,13,16-33,36,33,36,37,40,37,40-47!
Ringing them up later this morning...

I need to get in touch with them in the morning as my Rule book is horribly printed.
every other page almost has been double printed, with 1 page having the text images etc, from 2 different pages. Even the cover is obscured by the index page being on top of it.

Some of my tiles have some dents in them but nothing major
I got a reply from GW customer service today and replacements are on the way :) as always GWs customer service is top notch...very happy indeed!
some separation of the layers in the cardboard on one of the frames, but its on the bottom layer so a drop of glue will fix them.

I actually always hope that there's a problem with the GW products I buy - because you end up with lots of extra! When they messed up the arms in a box of Horrors I purchased, I got a whole box to replace it!
Now you have a few extra board sections to play with.
I envy you, sir!

A couple of weeks for my mission book replacements to turn up. It seems they have to get some more sets made in order to break them down for replacement books.

And this alone makes them the greatest wargame company of all.
And Space Hulk. They should make more of them.
