As I continue to obsess over this game while waiting for it to arrive, I was curious what methods all of you used or planned to use to paint your models. I really like the color schemes used on the promo models GW has up on their website.

I have never painted Tyranids or Blood Angels, so any ideas on good color build ups or blends is welcome. Thanks!

I'm going with a fairly organic theme with my Nids. They are going to be going into a larger Tyranid force, so I wanted to keep them simple and easy. An example of a basic Nid can be seen here: http://www.meanderingthedunesea.com/?p=801

As for the Terminators, JawaBalls (http://warhammer40kbloodangels.blogspot.com/) has some great tutorials for painting Blood Angels. Some of them you do need to buy, but he also has some YouTube videos and such that cover some of the basics.

There's a couple threads in the M, P&T forum on how to paint the termies and the genestealers.

If you like the way the demo models are painted up, get a hold of the latest White Dwarf. There's a Masterclass on painting Sgt Lorenzo, and it's wonderful!

I'll check those out guys. Thanks.

I'm off to the GW store to beg them to give me my copy of Space Hulk today. I know they have it in the back room!

I'll probably go for a flesh tearers scheme rather than blood angels. (black helmets and fists instead of all red)

for genestealers its really quite easy, use blues and purples for basecoats, give everything a watered down purple wash, highlight, and then paint the details! Its a great use for the citadel foundation paints if you use them.
