Hi all,

here's a little project I've been working on for a while now and finally finished just in time for 3rd ed. I'm using these as proxies for Terminators and Genestealers - makes for a really fun game.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Great idea, well executed.

Vasquez is my favourite marine (isn't she everyone's?) but the broodlord takes 1st prize.

Apone needs a cigar!

That's Copplestone minis you're using, yes? Nice job. I've got a load of Kryomek Marines I'm intending to use as USCMC. I'm not bothering with Vasquez, as I'm only doing the traditional squad with flamer.

Yeah, that's right. The majority of the figs are from the Future Wars range by Copplestone Castings. The exceptions are Bishop and Drake with a flamer (standard Cadians), Ripley and Newt (minis by Hasslefree Miniatures), and Vasquez (conversion using Future Wars female trooper body and left arm, Escher Heavy gun and Escher Juve head +Greenstuff).

Glad everyone seems to like them - they've been a lot of fun to play with!

Been thinking on running an Sci-FI Role-playing sessions, Players boarding an abandon space ship bla. bla. bla. (usual scenario). Then in combat using space hulk rules and board sections.

Just to complete the set, I've repainted a Horroclix Predator. I put it on a plasticard base, as he's a lot taller than the Marines, so putting him on a thinner base goes some way towards lessening the difference. Might use him as my Librarian...

Looking really good!

It would be awesome to play a thre player game of space hulk in the style of the AVP games.

Oooh, that looks nice.

Did you consider Copplestone's Hunter Aliens for Predators?

Old Crow Models even make transparent resin ones:

They're a bit crude and lacking in detail, but if you give them a thin blue wash, they look the business as cloaked Predators.

Yeah, I considered the Copplestone Hunter Aliens but in short, I just don't like them. They're a bit small and lacking in detail. The Old Crow ones are great, but don't look quite like what I wanted - the quintessential Predator.

Any chance of a pic of the predator next to the plastic cadians? He looks damn fine...

I never considered how easily you can match the Aliens characters with space hulk. Matching newt with the little machine droid, the librarian with the predator and the broodlord with the predalien sets them all up with acceptably similar abbilities.
