So I recently obtained one of these kits, and I'm pretty stoked about it. It's going to make a GREAT addition to my Renegade IG army. I have a few questions for those of you that have this. First, it seems like it will be more difficult than some other kits to magnetize, and therefore keep your options. I'm thinking this largely because it seems the hull mounted weapons will be harder to change in and out. Assuming the above is true, what are your gaming experiences with each variant. Right now I'm leaning toward making mine into either a Stormsword or a Banehammer. Anybody toyed with these guys already?

I've only used the Shadowsword, myself, but I really don't know how much of an option magnets are for this kit. When I built mine, it seemed like they would be impractical, to say the least.

It's easy enough to build and do it to you get to use all the option their was a actually post showing how to do it.

All the types have their share of strengths and weaknesses it's really down to how you play what you use etc...

I've got a Shadowsword. I've used it twice. Once, the game was aborted halfway through turn one, so I didn't get to shoot it. The other, I played a full 4 turn 4000 point game with it.

It's Volcano Cannon is not to be understated. It's a D weapon so it is almost a guaranteed unit kill per turn. I popped two Land Raiders, wiped out a Wolf Guard Pack to a man, and killed a bunch of Blood Claws with it. With it's long range (96") you can command a board with it.

Hope this helps.

Might you be able to find this post? I would obviously prefer to be able to magnetize the thing and toy around with different builds.

With a little cutting and filing and gluing magnets on I was able to make the turret able to support all of the weapon options, also leaving the raised superstructure and top part if the hull unglued to switch them around depending on which variant I was fielding. As for the sponsons I picked up another pair cheap to allow for either option.
