1. use any one command point token

2. use a cup, any cup will do (none see through)

3. Shack, then place the cup upside down, peek at the dice results.

4. The genestealer player does as normal and moves the CP token when used.

5.instead of flipping the CP token over to show the marine player CP,
you lift the cup to show the dice representing your CP.

sounds like an interesting idea, although i cant really see how it is any faster than picking a token out of the cup and handing it to the stealer player?

I have always just rolled a dice anyway, using the method you say above, as a dice under the mission book is easier than having a cup etc, and you won't be peeling the edges of your tokens this way either. I then just use one CP token as a marker on the CP tracker all game and leave the other five in the sealed bags.

I'd like to echo Wilson - we just roll a d6 for Command Points, allowing a re-roll if a Sergeant is present, and leave the other 5 counters in a bag.

I've always done it this way since the 1st ed counters back in the day started to get a little frayed. Plus it seems more random. The number of times the same counter get's picked back out again...
