Okay, here's something I'd like as an Apocalypse formation: the Librarium Battle Choir. You have a Senior Librarian (either Epistolary or the Master Librarian of the chapter) supported by a bunch of Codiciers that could run around the battlefield baking whole squads with chain lightning and boosting one another's abilities. Kinda like the Eldar seer council but more offensively focused.

Okay. Make up rules for it and off to Rules Development with you. What's the point of posting this in 40k general?

Get writing that data sheet up then. Sounds like a plan.

Something like that was possible under the 4th Ed. SM book.

Librarian and his Command Squad, suitably converted. Make 'em all vets, give those who can take them power weapons. Attach another Librarian from your second HQ slot (and maybe a 3rd, using the command squad rule). 2-3 Epistolaries' worth of powers was enough for the rest of the squad, especially if some were tame.

Use special weapons as more 'powers,' and it was a pretty awesome "counts-as" unit,

sounds good, finally a reason to have Lexicaniums (trainee Librarians) back in the game.
