Go to a hobby shop and ask what kind of chain they have.

If I'm not mistaken, FW has a pretty good chain.

Or just get some really cheap jewelry chain. Bracelet-type stuff.

Go to Michael`s or any other "generic" craft store instead of actual hobby shops. Hobby shops usually charge extra for little junk like that. Here in Toronto there`s a place called Active Surplus which is a huge electronics-army surplus-miscellaneous shop that sells them. Local hardware stores might sell them too.

Find your local flea circus.
Throw in a can of raid.
Snatch and grab.

I recommend cheap jewelry chain, too. The ultra-fine stuff should work quite well in scale.

They are called jewelry or jeweler's chain and the appropriate section for such a thread is M,P&T General Discussion. What made you think it would fit better in 40k General?

Yeah, I tend to look in Charity shops for my chain.

I did the same thing yesterday. Got seven chains for a fiver. That's probably around 6' of chain. No idea what I'll use it for yet mind...
