I remember there was a great little table made up of elven names for warhammer, although I lost it when I got my new computer. I was wondering if anyone still had the link for that? Thanks in advance.

Search for the Warhammer 2nd edition character generation. If you can't find it on the web try to PM me. It's not sold anymore.

Random Elf Name Generator

Roll a d6...then compare number with corresponding list:

1. Julie
2. Nancy
3. Cheryl
4. Maggie
5. Phyllis
6. Teclis (because if you're playing High Elves, chances are you're going to pick him anyway).

Hope this helped! ;)

Tolkien is always a good reference; I think MERPS used to have one.

Try this:
http://www.snotling.org/modules/warhammer2-npc-gen/index-empire.php

It's an NPC generator for WFRP v2. Select elf and away you go.

Tolkien is always a good reference; No it's not. Elven names work differently in Warhammer fantasy battles and Tolkien ones will feel out of place for those that knows it.

I'd agree with Cond on Tolkien, there's hundreds of Elf names kicking around in his books.

Be warned though- call a Wood Elf "Legolas" and you will face serious punishment!

Really? I think they'd be fine, or at least provide a good basis of a name that could be tweaked for use in WFB.

You can stil call him Lego of the house of Las.

That would be truly funny when you keep the model out of sight until it's time to deploy him, and it appears to be of Danish manufacture, rather than from the forges of Nottingham.

The other method is take a latin dictionary, randomly select a word, replace the suffix with ~ion, ~or or something similar.

in the rules for Mighty Empires are some tables with silables. these can be arranget to get names. I don't really know in how far the created names are city names or personal.

they are near the end of the rules pdf.
