View Full Version : What was in the Warmaster Boxed Set?
Just curious really... see title for question :D
Warmaster was released as a book only. There was no boxed game as such.
At release, however, for a limited time, you could buy a box with the book and a small army (either High Elf or Undead) for (IIRC) £50 or £75

Yeah tere was a book and an army release for some time. Onoe of whihc was High eleves the other was Undead
you can however get BO5A which gives you 2 armies and the ruleset
there were several armies boxed as sets at the release of Warmaster, none of the set came with the rule book which was sold separately
The only 2 sets i remember seeing were the high elf and the undead, the others might have been online army deals, but don't remember seeing any in the shops
Yes, the undead and elf armies were the nly ones in store, and they were available with the book for a limited time.
Other armies were deals put together by MO
(in the UK at least, I dont know if any were released overseas...)
i remember army box sets for undead, elves, dwarves, and empire at least
don't remember the last 2 (even checking out the stockroom, there were only High Elf and Undead sets)

There were six boxed starter armies for the game; Empire, High Elf, Dwarfs, Undead, Chaos and Orcs and Goblins. I have unopened versions of each of them. There was also a rulebook, as well as a couple of annuals, not to mention the monthly magazine.
guess you don't like the game then?

the starter sets were great, you got 6 blisters for the price of (drum roll please) 6 blisters, and to top it off you got 1 bonus general for free*
WOW
*of course he would be duplicated if you ever bought the command blister which you would need for larger games.

Well there you go. You learn something new every day :)
Yeah, I just opened and started putting togather my WM High Elf Starter Army box Sunday, as I have been meaning to for 2 years but got motivated when we needed them for a prop as well this weekend. So in a week full of prop making I am franticly puting togather the whole box and a blister of chariots I had. And wishing I had gotten several more boxes of assorted Warmaster.
