View Full Version : Template Aid

Just got done with a tournament and was winding down when I thought of this. You would print this out and use it any time you get hit (or hit) a unit with a template attack instead of hovering a template over someone's nicely painted mini's. Eliminates any question of what is hit. Though could be unnecessary.

Looking for some feedback on the attached document. Worth it to use? Not necessary? Suggestions?

I've thought of making something like this as well. But seems like you beat me to it ;)

Thank you very much, it will prove much useful in my games!

i have many spare bases, i'll probably stick a load of them together.

but a nice idea. thanks for posting it, once my printer is working i may well steal a copy!

I knew I should have patented this idea! I did the same thing when I first started playing warhammer in 6th edition with my dwarves. It is definitely a much easier and accurate way to make the check

Excellent idea. The only improvement I would suggest would be to insert a page break after each block, to prevent units from being split between pages (as my old version of Word is doing for me).

Printed to use, thank you very much! Anything that helps end unnecessary bickering is a welcome treat!

Great idea, I'll print it out and use it for sure.

wow that's brilliant. The only issue is if a template is hitting multiple units you would need to have some quick measuring to make sure they are positioned right before placing the template over them. That's easy enough though. Thanks a lot!

Printing it out is WAY to hard. (Maybe I'm just too lazy) Far easier to take one of the bases from the modular movement trays and just use that instead. It has the 20 and 25 mm bases on it.

looks good, I'm going to print one out to use at the club tourney we have this weekend
