Hey guys,

I'm in the middle of tuning my list for a tourney this weekend and I'm looking to get all the rules correct. I've seen a lot of people running their warriors with this setup: Mark of Tzeentch, Halberds and Shield.

Is this really worth it? I see that it gives a +3 AS and a 5+ ward, but how can that be correct if you're looking to use fight with the halberd though? In close combat wouldn't I will only have a 4+ AS and 6+ WS from MoT. If I want an anvil unit, wouldn't I probably want to ditch the halberd? Won't I lose my fighting power?

Am I getting something wrong here? It's getting a bit late and it's been a long week.

No your right. if you have a halberd AND shield then you will use the halberd. hence the waste in points. the best two combinations that i have seen for tzeentch warriors are: halberds and blasted standard (4+ ward against shooting). or go for the hard to kill way and take HW+shield and stick a guy with icon curse icon in there. 5+ vs shooting and 3+ and 5+ ward vs CC.
