Hi folks,

i've looked through the O&G handbook, I've searched google and can not find out who this fella is! It's probably very obvious and easy but I'm stumped. so general call-out for help. Thanks!

I remember that model. Yes it's a shaman, probably a Savage one. Nice model.
Why do you ask?

It is a special edition shaman only available through a special edition army-box for orcs and goblins (a box I won at the local GW and the reason I started O&G). It is a nice model for a shaman on foot and I'm glad I have it.

Cheers all!

That photo will be very handy as I had no idea what the skull was!

Was he in the Battle for Skull pass? That was the set I started with but don't recall him being in it. The other sets I have are the Army and Battalion sets but I don't think he'd be in there.

My first Savage Orc in my army!! Yay! :)

As leogun says, he was only available in a limited edition orc army box (costing 100 or more, and with plenty of stuff for a 2000 point army give or take...if I remember correctly), much like the empire fire wizard who is essentially a human torch.

I rather like him, though I'm not sure if he's quite as nice as the shaman with the staff (in much the same position).

It's German ebay, but this was the box he was included, one of the last army boxes released:

Quite useful box, and as leogun said, perfect start for a O&G army.

So he was in the army boxset I got. in my head I said it wasn't worth checking the back of that box 'cause he won't be in it as its all big spru stuff.... obviously I was wrong lol :)

I have the Great Orc on Boar and Orc Shaman (with staff over his head) and yes - they are lovely models.

Isn't he the one without teeth? I thought that model was pretty poor really...

As far as I know, this is a special Orc Shaman model given to all GW staff for Christmas 2008. (I'm serious, it was in Jeremy Vetock's collection and it has been shown in one of the last White Dwarf issues).

Simple:

If you have teeth and you want to eat something then kill it with a choppa...

If you don't have teeth and you want to eat something then kill it with a hammer... over and over again

:p

I love the toothless model. I added the axe head from the wyvern rider to the side of the axe and use that model as a savage orc great shaman w/ battle axe of the last waaagh!.

(Can't seem to find a good picture :()

Edit: Damn, and ninja'd while I wasted time looking for that picture...
