By now we have all seen the new Nurgle Warhammer Forge stuff. If you havnt it can be seen here:

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/NURGLE-PLAGUE-TOADS.html

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/NURGLE-BILE-TROLLS.html

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/NURGLE-PLAGUE-OGRES.html

What do we think of them for 40k? I can definitely see the plague toads being used to replace those god awful beasts of Nurgle models by some daemon players, there was once a pic of a plaguebearer on a toad so I could see him being used as a herald (people still take heralds dont they?) instead of having to splash out for another epidemius kit.

Im not keen on the trolls, might make for some decent looking princes though if you dont want to convert the plastic prince, being more animal looking Id probably put them in the daemons heavy support prince.

Those ogres look pretty good. I kinnda wish I had held out for them instead of buying 9 plague ogryns, especially since the plague ogryns all look the same At least with these they actually look like ogres/ogryns instead of beasts and with interchangeable ams theres a lot of diversity there. I could see these replacing my plague ogryns and being the basis for a prince as well.

Plague Toads deffinitely stand in's for the beasts.
Ogres could totally be used to add a little more diversity to the Plague Ogryn (especially if you were inclined to mix them up a little) I'm not to clear on the fluff but I've always presumed the Plague Ogryn were mutated examples of the Renegade Ogryn, these guys could be the middle ground between the two.

Trolls, like you say could be a good basis for a Nurgle DP and, at a stretch, more Plague Ogryn.

The Plague Dragon would be nice to shoe-horn into a Nurgle army if money is no object, not quite sure what you'd have it as, perhaps you could use it as a Counts as Soul Grinder?

The Trolls are my least favourite of the new releases, but oddly I'd see myself using them more than the Ogres if that makes anysense.

I think the ogre's are tied a little too much to fantasy for use in 40k, but the others are great plague ogryns, beasts of nurgle, chaos spawn or similar uses.

Once I swing back around to my traitor guard in the future, I'll be adding a lot more random stuff like this, variety is the spice of life, even if it's only in the nurgle flavour :D

The plague toads freak me out a bit, because their faces heavily remind me of the Cacodemons from Doom. Excellent sculpts, although I can't see myself using any of them.

a toad dragon model hasnt been released yet. I havnt given much thought to what this guy could stand in as but he'd still make a pretty nice showcase model.

the rotbeast, (what I assume are) heralds and champions havnt appeared yet but its early days. A fair amount of the new WF stuff looks like it might crossover just fine into 40K.

Plague Dragon = either a Nurgly Giant Chaos Beast or potentially even a Great Unclean One or 'Generic Greater Daemon' (ach XP)...

Hate to be the immature one, but seriously those Ogres got issues......look at the sideways profile and where the horn is portruding straight up from ...

I would recomend using the Ogres to formulate actual daemon princes, but I am not one for buying Forgeworld products and converting them. Usually too expensive to just end up chopping up.

I have purchased 4 of the 40k plague orgyns. Been holding off on buying more in hopes of more variety. Well here it is.

What plague dragon?

Look here (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=15100031a) for a less washed out pic on the GW site. It's a big ol' ugly hunk of dragony action.

I think the trolls would work just fine as plague ogryn myself, after all they are ogre-sized, shaped, and pestilent, seems like a perfect match. :)

The dragon as a soul grinder seems like a great idea too, you could even add some defiler legs or claws if so inclined.

I'm definitely getting the Plague Toads as Beasts of Nurgle / Chaos Spawns... or just to paint them. I'll probably pick up the Trolls and Ogres as well, if only just to own and paint more Nurgle models. I have no intention or playing Fantasy (ever).
