Looks pretty cool, but it needs more dirt ;)

Also what is it with china and warhammer 40k cosplay? There seem to be a lot of great costumes around there. There is another post somewhere where they even did a whole show with a singing inquisitor.

Too clean and he is wearing hiking boots. Needs jack boots or engineer boots from sears. Not a bad first attempt.

Thats pretty awesome!! Put some scarring or battle damage on that bad boy and it would be perfect!

It's good to see 40k being represented among the legions of anime fans.

I wouldn't say jackboots per say....short boots and leg wrappings would be fine

Just to be a pain, I'll note that he could be part of a new group of conscripts...
just mustered, he (and his gear) haven't had a chance to get muddy and scratched up yet

Conscript?! since when do conscripts get carapace armor?:wtf:

This chap is cosplaying a grenadier which are basically storm troopers.....

My point (regardless of others paying attention to it) was that his kit could be newly issued.
Fresh off the assembly line, unused.

could be but it just looks so much better when it looks used....

Though this is coming from a reenactor here...lol

When I get a new uniform the first thing I do is literally roll around in the dirt and mud:) to spice it up a bit.....

Cosplay was originally a Japanese thing that spread throughout Asia.

"Costume Play" - they tended to just contract and merge the English words to make it more grabby (Pokemon, for example, is just "Pocket Monsters").

Even here, it is more common amongst those with Asian ancestry than Anglos, although the Anglos do increasingly seem to be closing the gap.

Wonder how is that gasmask & helmet made, I've got a costume party coming and I'd have the perfect greatcoat...

Your friend's costume is pretty darn good!

I love the Chaplain in terminator armor guy's costume (though I really wish he had made his crozius arcanum a bit sturdier).

That termi chaplain is awesome, my only critique would be the shoulder pads look a bit too small. If they were bulkier it would be perfect.

At first it looks pretty simplistic but the overall effect is very nice.
