View Full Version : How old is this Chaos Sorcerer model?

I got this model recently in a big box of secondhand bitz. I'm using it as a Wight King/ Necromancer but it appears to be a Chaos Sorcerer of some description. I was wondering when it's from in GW's history. I tried solegends and google but I couldn't seem to find it. Can anyone shed some light?

90s Chaos, when Chaos had the Warhammer Armies: Chaos boxed set instead of an armies book. The Sorcerer was part of this range. I have the WD with his release somewhere if you want the exact month :)

Edit: Iss 180, Dec 1994!

Ah thanks, that puts it at about 1994. Wonder why I've never seen one? It's a cooler model than a lot of classic Chaos champions IMO.

Models from that range were generally pretty good, including Aekold Helbrass, for example. I also really love the Chaos Warriors from that era, but they can be very difficult to find on eBay. Anyway, here is a link to where they are on solegends (http://www.solegends.com/citcat1997/1997p282-02.htm), if you can dig it.

Cheers for that, pity they can't rerelease a lot of stuff from back in the day.

Well, back in THAT day I guess you mean :)

Many of the 90's figures I really still like and feel are a little underated
