Is it just me or do the Dark Angels have the potential to be the most colorful Space Marines around, possibly second only to the Rainbow Warriors? Think about it.

Green (Regular Marines)
Black (Ravenwing/Chaplains)
Bone White (Deathwing)
White (Apothecaries)
Blue (Librarians)
Red (Techmarines)

Now contrast that to, say, the Ultramarines.

Blue (Regular Marines/Librarians)
White (Apothecaries)
Red (Techmarines)
Black (Chaplains)

The Blood Angels.

Red (Regular Marines/Techmarines)
White (Apothecaries)
Blue (Librarians)
Black (Chaplains/Death Company)
Gold (Honor Guard)

And the Space Wolves.

Grey (Everything)

So are the Dark Angels now the most colorful Space Marine army in the game?

Space Wolves, every unit has a different shoulder pad colour.

that depends on the distinction between bone and white. I don't really consider them to be different colours.

Hence my saying "...possibly second only to the Rainbow Warriors."

Space Wolves, every unit has a different shoulder pad colour.

I'm talking full suit of armor color as opposed to just shoulderpad trim and so on.

I wouldn't actually call black, white and sombre green colorful, but yeah...

An interesting Space Marine army was featured in WD that used Bretonnian knight bitz and Black Templars bitz, and each model was painted in at least five different colours. It was just somebody's personal project though, nothing official.

I always thought 2nd edition Ultramarines were rather colourful with each Company having its own shoulder pad rim colour.

Dark Angels have always been like that.

that depends on the distinction between bone and white. I don't really consider them to be different colours.

Apothecary white tends to start from a cool grey base and work up to mainly white.
Deathwing bone tends to start from a warm brown base and work up to pure white on the very final edge highlight, if at all (depends on the painter).
