Hiho Warseers,

just to let you know, we are in the process of setting up a Webzines section on the WarSeer frontpage. If everything works well, we'll have one (maybe two) quarterly (?) webzines soon (the first issues shoud be released around September). :)

One will be focussing on 40k and there'll maybe be another taking care of the fantasy site. Basically the whole section will be similar to the Rusted Engine Comics section.

I'm going to restructure and edit the current Scriptorium (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44) subforum to fulfil our new needs now. In addition the current Scribes usergroup will be completely restarted too. That means that I'll remove all current Scribes from the usergroup and we'll then start adding users to the Scribes group again. Sounds like a bit of double work, but it's easier for to do it this way.

If you are a former Scribe and like to continue working for the Scriptorium (frontpage articles, 40k webzine, fantasy webzine), please get in contact with me. Same if you have an article sitting in the old Scribes forum that you'd like to see rescued.

The Scribes will be a smallish group of Warseer users who'll be in charge of the Scriptorium (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44) and -more important- the Article Submission Forum (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45).

The Article Submission Forum (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45) will be the place where our users are able to submit content/articles/painting guides and all type of things to us. The Scribes and the Warseer staff will then take a look at the submissions to proofread, edit and discuss them with the author. They will be the ones deciding if and where an article will be published too (frontpage or, if an article fits into the release schedule, one of the webzines).

To prevent articles getting leaked to the public before they are released, we've set up the Article Submission Forum in a Helpdesk type of way: Users can only see and reply to their own threads there. WarSeer staff (admins, mods, techpriest) and Scribes can view all threads.

We'll see how this will all work, but it'll definately not be possible without your help. If you have an idea for an interesting article, if you see a forum post/thread that would be worth it to be expanded into an article, don't hesitate to get in contact with us via the Article Submission Forum (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45).

And of course we'd be glad for all sorts of helpful comments & criticism to improve our frontpage articles or webzine content. If you'd like to leave a comment, please take a look at the Scriptorium Feedback Forum (http://www.warseer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=46). :)
