Last pic here: http://wargameterrain.blogspot.se/2012/08/conquest-games-plastic-norman-infantry.html Might be a little big but the Norman do have a large bump under his feet.

Here is a guy who painted his as Gondorians: http://einarolafson.blogspot.se/2012/08/conquest-games-normans-and-why-not.html I think they look good so one alterative could be to go all Conquest.

Can't see any reason why not mate, as long as the scale is there, or there abouts.

Hmm they look good as Gondorians as well... was thinking picking up some Byzantines to use as WOMT etc..

EDIT: Anyone have any ideas how Fireforge minis match up to WHFB and LOTR minis?

I've heard that gondor as written in the books is more in line with the early medieval Normans then the knights in shinning armour they are in the movies. Fits with rohan being saxons with horses

I wouldnt worry about scale, GW dont- the metal army of the dead are about 9 feet tall and as wide as a truck at the side of the Men of Gondor. if you cant find e-bay bargains i say go historical all the way for humans (same in whfb).
