Good day everyone,
It has been a long time since I have been interested in collecting anything, truth be told coming into being 32 years old I thought that maybe wargaming life had passed me by but at around Christmas time I was getting the inkling to collect some Warhammer, looking through all the different armies I could not find any particular one that I wanted to hang my hat on and to be honest over the last 5 or 6 years I have fallen out with Games Workshop as a company, the reasons are many and varied and there is no need for yet another GW whine on the internet so I’ll leave it at that.
I saw a video by AGProduction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1XDrQ4qOVs) on YouTube about recapturing the loves of your youth, for me this was pretty simple. Blood bowl and Warhammer Quest. I love those two games and for me they are the peak of the Citadel castle. Warhammer quest will give me plenty of miniatures to paint from all different races so it should be a fun and varied task.
Now I have spent a bit of time kicking around the internet and this superb sub-forum, you may have seen me popping up and asking folk how they do things...I will be swiping many an idea from the guys here.
I will be starting by gathering the bits I need to play Doboshova's Inn (http://arrch.fortunecity.ws/dungeon/wqdero.html) a small start up adventure that I will be using to hopefully indoctrinate a couple of friends to play some quest with me, although it is great that quest can be solo.
I will be using printout tiles to start with but with a long term plan to make my own, although nothing as lavish as some. I will be keeping the scaling at 30mm squares in corridors but will up it slightly to 31.25mm for rooms ... hard to explain why but if all my bits arrive in the next few weeks I should hopefully be able to show you.
Oh and I will be using round lipped bases, I just prefer the look and keeps people well away from ‘just another warhammer fantasy fig’ ... I have just ordered 100 of these bad boys, so hopefully they will be nice.

I’m sorry there is not a mass to show ... I have been delaying starting a thread until I had something to show but then found myself not starting because I had no thread to document it ... damn chickens and eggs!
On the table at the moment I have an Orc shaman, I picked it up cheap on Ebay and got started, once that is done i’ll be tracking the bits needed for the mission...so thats,
• A Witch
• A beastman
• Mutant cat or large cat
• A magic broom? Any ideas on who may make a broom miniature?
• 1 cave squig
• 6 mutant spiders
I should probably point out here that I will be using any companies miniatures I like, there is a great big world of talented sculpters out there and I don’t see a point in limiting myself to one company, my only goal is to have character in my figures ... too many seem to lack soul these days for me.
I shall leave this rather gargantuan opening with a few shots of my work area and one of my Empire army that was completed in 2012, played with once and sat in my cabinet ... they are the only things I still own and even they may be going on the block to help fund this.

Thank you all, I hope to be as active as I can and come close to the greats that are here on Warseer.
