Hi everyone,

I don't normally post army lists online, but figured it'd be nice to get some feedback on my planned Salamanders list for HH games and get some input on some choices I'm not entirely sure on just yet.

Basically: metal boxes and dreadnoughts everywhere. This leaves me with 100 pts to spend somewhere, though. Iw as thinking of adding pintle multi-meltas to all my Rhinos since it'd be the Salamanders things to do and would get me 4 more MMs. I'm also not sure the melta-vets are the most useful option. Maybe marksmen with heavy flamers would be better?

I'm not going for the most cutthroat list out there. No Firedrakes in a Spartan etc. I want a fun list with plenty of vehicles and dreads, and flamers/meltas everwhere to make the most of the rite of war.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I would recommend heavy flamers for the dreadnoughts. Also swap inferno pistol for combi melta. 100% dozer blades on any vehicles that can take them.

With covenant of fire all models get move through cover anyway, so dozer blades aren't really needed for this force. Heavy flamers might be cool on the dreads though.


Any thoughts on what to do with the last 80 points (after getting 2 heavy flamers)? More pyroclasts? Pintle MMs for the rhinos? Apothecary?

Add digi weapon to praetor, 1-2 power weapons to veterans and then grab as many pyroclasts as you can.

Could i ask what unit the praetor is suppose to join?

So:


Digi-lasers on the praetor (who rides with the pyros)
2 power swords on the vets
2 combi-meltas on the vets
Replace the inferno pistol with a combi-melta on the vet sergeant
Add 2 pyros


Gets the list pts exactly.

I run basically the same list, though with some adjustments ofc. I myself am not too keen on armnements on contemptors other than kheres assault cannons and graviton guns, though I guess if they do work for you then should use them. Furthermore I do like multimeltas on rhinos, as it adds multiple potential threats to enemy tanks, however rhinos do tend to get targeted more than not, then again, mine are full with either veterans or support squads.
