Stars etc...

Hey again site team...

As stars aren't appearing clearly yet, most folks won't know who is an administrator, moderator, just a guilder or something else.

As at least a couple of former gold stars are now silver stars, and at least one silver star is now a red star. This could cause a number of members to be confused as who to report issues to. When I was a mod, I used to regularly get PMs when online from members with immediate concerns over threads.

We will try to have the new star icons in place before christmas.

As a temporary measure, you could always add custom titles to all WarSeer staff members e.g. Administrator and Moderator. That would also solve the problem.

I don't see the stars at all at the moment. QUite a few icons/graphics are missing for me (get 404s if I try and view them).

Using chrome (shouldn't make a difference I don't think).

Check out the statement here (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?421295-WarSeer-has-been-attacked&p=7650077#post7650077). Short story, we've disabled some of the images until we can scan through them to check for any malicious code.

The images like the banner, forums avatars and smilies will will be re-enabled at the weekend. As for the stars, they are being redesigned to be a bit more snazzy. :cool:

Some people have a broken link icon next to their names ( I currently do).

I thought that might have been where the stars were going, but now there's a shiny blue one below my custom title and still a broken link icon on the left of my screen name.

I can still see the broken link icon next to your and my names, while a star sits below the names.

As I said, I thought it was where the star would go, but the stars are there and the broken link icon is still there.

From the announcement, it suggests to me that the new stars are temporary until the old ones are fixed. The old ones would, therefore, revert to the original position, which is why the broken icon remains, since the intention is to get that working again and remove the new stars. At least that's how I understand it.

This is now fixed. The stars appearing at the side of user names is now back but you'll be glad to know Irisado that we have kept the nice new colours that you liked.
