We are developing Dark Elves based on the slaving Sultanate of Zanzibar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Zanzibar) and colonial safari (https://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2013-10-08/history-of-safari-style-kenya-africa).
Matthew Klaas de Witte (https://www.deviantart.com/dewitteillustration) accepted a commission from me to design a Dread Elf from Maphria, with a leopard skin and an enslaved Pygmy Halfling. Gut feeling told me he was the right man to pioneer this field.
