@ Arnizipal, Yeah they are leaves.

Those Wood Elves get even better every time I look at them.

Think its more vines that are made to wrap round the riders legs so they don't fall off. Natural harnesses

I dont like the warhawks up to now.

The lord with 2handed sword looks like bullwyf, the leader from the 13th warrior from that angle...

Just been on GW UK's site, and it states 16 Dryads, and the picture of the army box also has 16 on it - oh the confusion... :)

I emailed the UK GW webstore customer services on Friday regarding the inconsistent details of the Wood Elf Army box contents on the UK webstore. They subsequently changed the details on the UK webstore so that the text descriptions of the box contents now agree with the photos of the box contents. So the UK webstore is now correct.

I got a couple of replies from hobby specialists confirming that the army box will contain 32 Glade Guard, 16 Dryads, 8 Glade Riders, the listed metals, and the army book (which is consistent with what it now says on the UK webstore).

They also confirmed that the regiment boxes will contain 16 Glade Guard, 12 Dryads, and 8 Glade Riders.

Although they mentioned no details regarding the Battalion box, it is currently believed that the Battalion Box will contain 24 Glade Guard, 12 Dryads, and 8 Glade Riders.

Hope this clears some things up.

Hi Koven_lexter

You just stated that Dryads are 16 a BOX, and then go on with 12 in battalion box. I assum that there will also be 16?

Galonthar

hmm....
those scouts are veeery cool!!! :chrome: ,... I think I`ll make all my GG look that way (in my opinion woodies should wear cloaks, and the more, the better :) )

and those 12 dryads in one box doesn`t realy surprise me... from what I`ve heard of em, they`ll be stronger than most other core units (skirmish, S4, T4, A2 ... not bad if you ask me!)

No, the post states 12 Dryads per regiment box. There will be 16 in the Army box (1 x box set + a sprue at a guess). The rumoured contents of the Battallion box would contain 1 box of Dryads, or 12 models

Hope this makes things clearer. Hope so, i'm starting to get a little more confused myself... :p

As Mr Crube said, it's 16 Dryads in the Army Box (confirmed), 12 Dryads in Regiment Box (confirmed), and 12 Dryads in the Battalion Box (speculated).

Army Box, Regiment Box, and Battalion Box are all different things. Army Box is the 130 box, Regiment Box is the 18 box, and Battalion Box is the 50 box.

Hope that helps.

That's weird, because I preordered the Army Box on Saturday, and on the order form it says there's only 12 Dryads in the box. Then again, it does say 16 on the Online Store, so, well, WTF? :wtf:

:wtf: indeed - I believe that there is an error on the flyer. The details on the online store for the army box are correct according to UK MO. The picture of the army box alo clearly shows 16...

(Oh, koven_lexter, - just plain old Crube 'll be fine - no need for all that Mr stuff... :) )

1. Might as well buy 16 scouts. . .
2. GW has had various figs painted NMM for years, iirc, the old commander Dante fig was one of the first (even before nmm had a name)

Or rather, before you heard the name. The technique is quite old, even if it's popularity in this medium is fairly newly developed.

and how are you supposed to do that?
(with "metal surfaces", do you mean metal models, or simply areas on the model which should look metallic?? (like, breatplates etc.))

Basically with lots of time on your hands :p

Its a rather advanced technique at the moment IMHO...it involves using lots of greys and inks, Blending them to look like how the metal wouls look if the sun was shining on it...used in golden daemon entries to a fair extent...

A few tutorials about the place like coolminiornot if you wannna learn...

oh.. hmm... I guess that that`s a little to advanced for me,.. I`ll jus keep it too drybrushing & a few inks
