I almost spit my Scotch on the computer screen when I saw those goblins! That is classic in the most perverted of conversions way, Merry Christmas to you to LOTE!

Damn, those Vostroyans are spectacular. I'm just starting up a Vostroyan army myself... I think I'm going to take them in a steampunky direction.
One question: what models did you use for the Vostroyans holding the standards? Are they converted officers? I really like whatever you did there; it's something I might do as well.

25-12-2007, 03:37
Glad you all like 'em (both the gobbos and the vossies)!
We now return to our regularly scheduled log.
@salmon: The ones holding the standard are all basic vossie models. One is the sergeant, one is a sniper and the other is an officer. Some simple hand swaps via space marine hands or steel legion sgt gloves and you're good to go. The banners are from the new Empire models.
I finished two horses and will hopefully get them done tomorrow and then make a start on the attilans themselves.
Merry christmas, Mike!
The highcommand is looking superb. I'm a big fan of the Praetorian models, good to see them in your highcommand. :)
Cheers!

Great work on them Mike, the champ is a piece of art :D

Christmas was good! Only 40k related thing was the Horus Heresy: Collected Visions book and boy is it awesome!
Horses are done! Basing tomorrow and the riders are gonna get primed. Can't tell much from this shot but each horse has 3 layers to help define the muscles. In the grand scheme, I kept the horses pretty basic since the riders will draw all the attention.

I gotta get more vostroyans...I have none left!
If anyone has spare spotters/gunners (or any vossies for that matter) please send me a PM! I am getting 3 OOP thudd guns, and 2 OOP rapiers in the mail soon and they need crews!
Happy Holidays boss
Great stuff man!

I now have 2 of the same commander. One on the display base, and then this guy who represents my army in the High Command group. He still needs his sword too...
I got a box of stuff from a friend. I now have TONS of empire bitz to use! I'm using parts of the hellstorm rocket battery to create vostroyan hunter killer missiles.
I also got these:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4479.jpg
That brings my total up to 12 russ that need to be painted in vossie colors. There will be plenty of banners too!
I also received some dwarfs so I can finally start work on my thudd gun crew!
Its about time this army gets kickstarted again!

Bravo LotE! Yet another beautifully painted Vostroyan. You are seriously making me think about starting up a guard army. Love those Christmas Gobbo's too.
Paint your tanks in praetorian colours, and give them praetorian gunners. Then the high command Praetorians can represent the armoured company seconded to your vostroyans.
Or you could do them with red vostroyan crew to rep the other vostroyan company...
Crazy Ivan
28-12-2007, 12:23
Graf-General Vladkov looks great, LotE! The High command seems to be along nicely too, can't wait to see it done. Will there be some servitors or other ancillary personnel too?
Also, it'll be interesting how your Vostroyans and Attillans will fit in together; personally I think the 'Steam-punk Tsarist Russia' look goes very well with 'Tatars in Space'...

As always impressive. With that many tanks you should be able to do an awesome Apocalypse report, now if you can just find an enemy with enough Orks or Chaos cultist to fight.
Sir as always you continue to be a source of inspiration for the rest of us. Keep up the good work and holding the banner of the firstborn high.

@ZAChos: Good idea but its pretty much already done for me! Each commander is a representative of an existing force in this very forum. The red vostroyans represent the 24th Regiment which belongs to Irfpio. The Praetorians "belong" to none other than Col. Gravis. The cadians still don't have a representative.
@CrazyIvan: There will indeed be more non-regiment models. Plans include a commissar, 2 cherubs, 4 servo skulls, an astropath and a servitor.
As for the rough riders, they do fit the overall 2nd edition theme that I sought to implement at the very beginning. The big tie in with the rest of the force, besides the bases, will be the banner that one will carry.
orangesm, tves, I appreciate the kind words!
And the table itself:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4495.jpg
It was made from the wing of an old airplane model along with bipods from the dwarf miner sprue. Gotta do some touch ups around the skull pile...
As good a picture of the map as I could get. Clearly the Imperials have a plan:

Well, I only play with painted stuff so if I want to field something, its gotta be done. Longer explanation at the Ammobunker.
Speaking of which...

I've been getting Russ tanks here and there for about 4 years now. This Vostroyan tank company will be done on the side with everything else.
What the tanks will eventually be:
Top right: 3 Russ with heavy bolters
Top left: 3 Exterminators with heavy bolters
Bottom left: Destroyer tank hunter and Demolisher with plasma sponsons
Bottom right: 3 Russ with lascannons (no sponsons)
My current task (among many others) is to get my hands on one more Empire cannon as well as 2 pairs of heavy bolter sponsons and 3 cadian heavy bolters.
Right now I'm painting up another table for the high command along with a cherub and psyker. A hellhound tank is in the works as well.
My goals before going back to class Jan 22nd:
-High Command
-Rough Riders (x10)
-Hellhound
-2 or 3 Leman Russ
-Vostroyan infantry squad (autocannon/plasma combo to start 3rd platoon)
It's a stretch but I think it can be done.
One of them looks to have no sponsons and a lascannon to me :P

PM sent regarding this.
Everything looks great so far. I love the quality of each model and the brilliant ideas and converions you've used. It'll be interesting to se how the rough riders fit in.
You, Col. Gravis and Inquis Jaeger have actually tempted me to collect my own gaurd army now....I've spent the last 6 weeks sourcing excessive amounts of the old metal catachans and hopefully by the end of the week I should have all I need built for a 1500 Point game!

What ideas do you have for converting up crew? I was looking at using a mix of Cadian, WHFB Empire, and all too much GS for mine, as well as mixing in Lascannon and HB gunners every so often.

The autocannons will be going on the customary zzap gun chassis. I'll probably use a lascannon gunner, a medic, a heavy bolter gunner, the heavy bolter spotter and the sergeant. The weapon crew will pretty much be like those of my heavy bolter and missile launcher teams. Of course there will be conversions with 'em too ;) .
@Hallowed: We'll have to talk!
Good luck with getting all that done oh those Tanks are looking ace.

The horses awaiting their riders. They may not look detailed because of the lighting but they have about 3 layers of skin on 'em. The trick is to keep them basic and somewhat similar to tie the unit together:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4504.jpg
The hellhound is basecoated and is awaiting its drybrush. I seriously gotta outsource this painting though ;). Someone around here has to have an airbrush who can spray my tanks for me. Painting them by hand to this point would make me go insane!

The thudd guns will become another mortar attachment to my HQ. I am a firm believer in mortars so the more the merrier!
As for the howitzer and the two rapiers, I do not know. Suggestions are most welcome!
I am also now fully versed in the doctines of the Imperial Guard thanks to my new Uplifting Primer! All opponents shall cower in fear as I read the words of the Emperor during battle!

Rapiers and Thudds for the extreme win :D
For the Rapiers, my first thought is Sentinels actually. The Howitzer, that may be a bit trickier.
You know the uplifting primer, what's the difference between the latest one and the last one?
Howitzer... give it to me ... lol.

I think twin linked multilaser for the rapier would be okay. 2 Twin linked lascannons would make it way too powerful for the guard. It would weigh in at about 150 points? Abit to good for guard I think.
Light of the Emperor
07-01-2008, 20:33
Hmm...sentinals...that might be interesting. Wonder if the majority of gamers will let me have them "count as". I'd probably add servitors walking behind with remotes. The chassis would have a multi laser then.
The new primer is called the "Damocles Edition" because it has an added section on the Tau. The prayers in the back are on blue pages...dunno if that's different from the first one. I also have the Munitorum Manual. I definately recommend both these publications!
Still steaming along with the excellent work mate.
I dunno what you could use the rapiers for sorry, but you're a lucky man to be able to find them :D
The primer is different to the original i have, theres no tau, and the prayers are on pink paper. Blue is a much more manly colour :D

Thanks guys! I dig the Cadians AR!
5 finished Attilan Rough Riders. Bring on the lances! Up until this point, it was my command squads taking on the enemy in CC. They've been fighting alot of blood angels lately and manage to win about half the time! Even against a chaplain and death company, they've managed to serve the Emperor well.

I'm almost there! I'm still waiting on FW to deliver my Krieg Commissar who'll make a great addition in the background. I have a ltd. ed. cadian ready to be painted...all I need is the officer with the monocle. Please PM me if you have one you don't mind parting with!
After some trades with some Krieg stuff I had, I now have enough Vossies to build my third and final platoon! Once the platoon is done, all that's left are some heavy and special weapons teams. Oh no is this the end?!
Probably not! :D
After that you can start on a Baneblade, and perhaps a Leviathan? :D
Great work LotE! I'm glad the models I send you are in good hands, and very well painted too! :)
So, the last empty spot on the high command base is for the DKoK commissar?
Cheers!
Light of the Emperor
08-01-2008, 18:05
There's three spots left. One for the commissar. (If he's too small scale wise I'll have to pick up a different one). The other two are for the cadian contingent.
A baneblade would be cool but everyone has one...maybe the one with the plasma destroyer or whatever its called. General Grizmund would make for a great Vostroyan tank commander with a hat.
My scratchbuilding abilities are virtually non existant so a leviathan would be tough...
Looking delightful, old man. Especially that High Command! :)
Bigod!
Excellent diorama!

The high command is turning out each day more awesome: you've managed to tie in with the rest of the model the two praetorians, and I like the guy who's gathering tactical informations from the astropath's visions and/or telephatic talking.
This sort of things really adds much to the feel of the entire model, and helps out telling the story behind the scene (if this was unintentional (but I think not), you now have something to justify the pose :D :p)
The RR turned out really well, even if I'd like to see them side by side with some vostroyan unit... I always thought they would be a bit out of place amongst vossies
Hope yours behave better than mine, though. I used RR in 3 or 4 games, they charged all the times, and managed to kill a mere 3 space marines (one with their laspistols :p). The "rubber lance effect" is something I was unable to get past...
Toschenko
You know what, you should add some 'work' stuff on the table that the psyker is closest too (the one with the shrine piece). As if he just turned around from the table, consulting his deck of cards or his pieces of saint bones, and is about to tell the Praetorian with the lasgun that his pants are unzipped or whatever.

08-01-2008, 20:16
@MrP: Thanks! It seems to be a common assumption that I'm "older" and that I live in England...both of which are incorrect. I find it quite funny! ;)
@Toschenko: Very glad that you like the high command. The pose of that Praetorian was indeed planned. I wanted him with a hand by the table yelling across to someone else along the lines of "wait a minute, what orders/ readouts do we have now?"
I'll have a full unit of rough riders when all is said and done. Getting the charge with the lances will be very important. I guess I'll have to pull out the primer and utter the "Chant of Accuracy" every time they charge!
@MF3000: Great idea! Time to make the Emperor's Tarot!

08-01-2008, 22:00
It is a "must have" for all Guard generals. Its a guardsman's army manual. It tells you everything such as: how to wear a gasmask correctly, how to strip a lasgun into its basic parts, how to survive off the land, ways to kill orks, tau and nids, vehicle classifications...it goes on and on. Lots of diagrams and pictures as well. In the back it has a section on prayers, chants and litanies which focus on everything from the Emperor to the cleaning of a lasgun.
If you like 40k background, you definately want to pick it up.

You could use the Howitzer and Rapiers as Lascannon-armed Sentinels.
Just get a Servitor or two on the base and have them stand back and pot-shot enemy Tanks.
The Thudd Guns could double as Autocannon as well as counting as Mortars.
The thudd guns can be used, there's new rules for 'em in imperial armour 5... unless you want to use them in a tourney...

This is a great log. Absolutely amazing army. Just a real quick question, I'm painting up an Inquisitor who originally comes from Vostroya, would you mind greatly if I copied your paint scheme? You've chosen the perfect scheme for space russians. On a similar point, could you tell me how you paint the fur like on the hats?, I read through the log but couldn't find mention.
Thanks, Mick.

In friendlies I used thudd guns as thudd guns (I have a FW one too). In a tourny game they'll become basic mortars which is fine by me as I love mortars!
Thanks TwoKingMick. By all means feel free to copy the scheme. The hats are quite simple really. Basecoat scorched brown, drybrush graveyard earth and finally drybrush with bleached bone. Simple as that!

I really think your armoured company should be represented in the high command unit. Not many people take into account that imperial tanks come from different regiments to the infantry and you've got a great opportunity to emphasise that but still bring it all together. You could even give the high command a chimera that belongs to the armoured company. I mean how many tanks would an artillery company actually have?
Still looks great though
Fantastic work mate, it really looks like the Psyker is worried about what hes drawn from the pack :D
Cheers
Sheep
Quick Question: Can the high Command Unit have a Chimera? I'm asking as i don't have the article any more and Army Builder is bugged (you can only give the High Command an Aquilla Lander, and you can't give the Command HQ a Chimera)

Perhaps I am too late, but I think your High Command diorama should have an Attillan attache since th army has Attilans in it now.
Can we see a pic of your Attilans working alongside some of your Vossies?
Although crowded, remember when in the Band of Brothers episode, 'Carentan' there was that dispatch rider from the Armoured Company? Maybe some pose like that for the Attillan attache... just galloped into the command meeting and the horse is pacing about, with the rider twisting and turning and all that...

@boogle: If the squad is under 12 models, they can have a chimera at standard chimera costs.
@Keadaen: Good eye, I'll have to take a look at it...Thanks.
@AR: Yeah the commissar will be added. I'm trying to get in touch with FW because he still hasn't arrived and I ordered him at the end of November.
@EasyE and MF3000: An attilan attachment would be interesting. I'd have to find another rough rider...the one leaning foward and yelling would be perfect on a rearing horse.
Here's a comparison shot:

I can just imagine the guns hiding in a red-leaf forest, quietly getting into position. Leaves falling... it's so romantic, like Hero, except with brutal behemoth like guns... LOL.
They look great man.

Ahh... No army can survive without artillery and you don't have that problem :D You've got some nice artillery pieces there, love the bases also.

Man that commissar is truly rocking that pose - although it would've been cool too if he rested the pistol on his shoulder - but this pose is still ****gin osome. He's like waving it about saying 'yo yo, i'ma gonna keeeel you'.

The sword was a cool piece, but very flimsy. I feared it would eventually break or bend too much. The pistol it came with was a little small too. A simple raid through my Empire bitz found me this pistol. Laying it up against the shoulder would've been great but his poor wrist would be contorted beyond belief!
I definately recommend the model though. Almost no flashing or mold lines and absolutely no release agent! The detail on these guys is amazing.
I have two more rough riders currently. I'm looking for three more including the standard bearer models so I can batch paint the last 5 which gives me a squad of 10. I'm also looking for just one set of spare legs so I can make one Vostroyan rough rider...kind of as an envoy or representative to the Attilans.

Light of the Emperor

Thanks everyone :)
@DamageInc: The leaves are birch seeds with half of 'em sprayed red. I'm sure you can get them at a local greenhouse. I ordered mine from this (http://www.barrule.com/Workshop/scratch%20builders%20paradise/leaves,%20feuilles,%20blatter,%20fogli.html) company in the UK. Very good quality and quantity for the price. I gotta order more myself.
I definately want to tackle a larger tank. I'm not much of a treadhead in terms of realistic weathering, markings and mechanics, but I wouldn't mind a large centerpiece for the army. Everyone seems to have a baneblade though so I want to take it in a different direction. The Malcador has really grown on me as has the Macharius with the Vulcan Bolters. Some bombards would be fun too...
I don't have much to show at the moment. I spent all day yesterday at a local tourny. Lost all three games in close fashion but earned best painted. Not the best showing so I need to improve before I head out to the Vegas GT in September.
I should have something to show tomorrow.
Cheers!

You should build A "Bombard"
Since this is an artillery company I second the Bombard and raise you a scratchbuilt Deathstrike.

21-01-2008, 10:13
Aye but Bombard and Deathstrikes are still normal vehicles - how about some super heavy artillery, something mounted on a Baneblade chasis as the Bombard is mounted on a Leman Russ chasis? Oh thats giving me ideas lol
BTW I've got three Attilians if you want them LotE, two standard lancers, one with a bolt pistol (maybe could be a minor conversion to a standard bearer?).

What now Death Korp!!! May I present a converted Vostroyan rough rider:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4629.jpg
He'll be an attachment to the Attilans, serving as a regimental envoy. Since Vostroyans wear carapace, I figured their horses would too. He'll be the only one though as the time and money invested in him is too much.
Work continues on the first squad of third platoon. I'm looking at finishing them Monday or Tuesday.
Cool guy, although his pose seems unnatural... I guess he's leaning forward as if his horse is moving forward - but the horses as usual are stupidly old and useless and ugly (I play Empire, and all we do is complain about horses).
I always imagined the Vostie cavalry boys to have sabres drawn, what with their funky furry hats.
sj
Light of the Emperor
28-01-2008, 04:05
He's just tacked on for the picture but I see your point. No matter what I do, he'll be somewhat hunched over much like the Attilans. It won't be as bad though.
As for the sabre, I agree. However, the model I used won't look very aggressive with a sword in his current pose. Plus, my sergeant already has a power sword so more would confuse people.
The horses are kinda dull...at least you empire boys got new ones!
titan136

i like the fantasy armored horse for the vostroyan envoy, works well with all the ornate wargear they have.
Codsticker
28-01-2008, 05:47
I think the problem with the pose is a minor one- if the lance is being carried vertically then the rider should probably be sitting upright. If the lance is lowered (or lowering) and the rider is preparing to charge then they would lean forward slighty, as the Vostroyan is doing.
Nice work putting the model together- the Vostroyan torso looks good on the Attilan legs.

Girathon
Wonderful diorama for the high command. I like how the Cadian is just disciplined and standing there waiting for orders to do something. The calvary would be upright, with the lance balanced on a foot or in a stirup, or hunched over and charging.
And this thread can't end. You don't have a Big Bertha yet.
Vostroyan rough rider... can it get much better than that? Very much stealing that conversion...

28-01-2008, 22:43
Really impresive, this army is better in each time
@Pulse: I imagine the cadians are a strict regiment so they would stand at attention for the most part anyways.
Still think though it would be better if the body guard unit had the weapon held across this chest and his head turned as if he is looking for threats, or the fact he was just uncomfortable being there so it looking around to turn his attention away from all the shouting. The Cadian is at ease there as well, the model i mean. :p ;)
The roughrider is looking good, although if you could lean him back slightly that would be good as the horse is trotting, you don't lean forward when trotting. :)

Man this stuff is top notch! I love the command group very nice minis and the painting is ace, the pice as a whole is great and tells a story. All of the minis are beautifully painted and the attention to details and convertions are very good.
keep it up

The Vostroyans do have their own doctrine list but I don't use it. Carapace is nice, but costs too many points. I go with iron discipline, ratlings and special weapon squads.

Nothing new yet...college and work get in the way of things. On the bright side, I am going on a trip to London in March and I plan on going to Nottingham for a day (again). I would love to meet up with some of my fellow warseer-ers. More details on that when it gets closer!
I do plan on painting up that rough rider next so keep an eye out in a day or two.
As for the superbowl...I really don't know. There are a few parties so I guess I'll be seeing some of it. I'll be wearing my Brett Favre jersey though as he is the Emperor of football!

The first and only Vostroyan rough rider:

Oh... that's great stuff!
I think the Vossie shoulder pad could use some silver though. It seems to draw me into that point with its brassy ballsness.
Considered giving him a different coloured trim for his coat? Just to make him standout from the infantry units - he is a galloper/ensign after all... (sorry just finished reading 7 of the Flashman series back to back).

Don't see why you don't do more of the roughriders Mike surely the worst element of the conversion is cutting troops in half (and we have already established that you are more than competent to do that), some of the sergeants/officers would look cool as on horse back (actually is there not a conversion on the GW website? I'm sure I remember seing one) and what you have done ther is great.
I say do more ......(trots of to get pen and paper to start a petition;))
I like the scroll on the Vossie RR. It makes him kinda look like a attache sent to the Attilans to act as a liason officer. He isn't that comfortable in the saddle, but the Graf commanded him to mount up.

Your guard army is truly inspiring, so characterful, I particularly like how you go after a certain theme rather than ubber-competativeness, might nik some ideas from your high command if you don't mind, keep it up
I'm a huge fan of your work, it's brilliantly done.
Your command squad is truly awsome, Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone!
Here's the next batch of guys. I decided to take pictures of each painting step just to show the process.
Here they've been given a basecoat of catachan green followed by a 50:50 mix of catachan and camo green. This is painted everywhere but the deepest recesses. I then highlight the edges with camo green. Afterwards they are all drybrushed with camo green. This helps blend all the layers together and give off the impression of cloth.

I've been reworking my game room a bit so I'll have pictures of that too when its clean.

I added brazen brass and boltgun metal to the metallic areas. Keep the paints watered down to provide a fluid, even surface.
Bestial brown was put on the boots, faces and purity seals. The parchment received a bleachedbone layer and the wax, lenses and symbols were hit with red gore and then blood red.
'Tis very basic indeed. The next step will see the brown and black inks which makes everything work.

I honestly don't know what I'd do afterwards. I still have a lot of random minis to work on. Since I'm an imperial player, perhaps I'll go with sisters. I've always liked them. But, that's quite a while away since there is so much left to do!
The ink phase is complete:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4649.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4650.jpg
The light takes the shading away a bit but you can tell a bit of the difference. All silver received a black ink wash (with water) and all brass, red, brown and cream colors were washed with brown ink. Simple as that.
Next up come all the pouches and faces.
Sweet but the big red V mark he has on his chest has a hollow line on the right side wich should be black after my taste,
but still your army is a great indspiration i am also bulding a vostroyan i might borrow a couple mortars from 11th artillery.
cheers Andreas

Damn fine looking as usual!

I think they can be better...but they are just rank and file guys. Gotta fix the skin on the sgt with the ax.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4712.jpg
One of these days I'll figure out the best lighting technique. There are alot of highlights and shades on him but they get washed out.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4713.jpg
In this stage I painted all the pouches and leathers. They were painted in combos of scorched brown and graveyard earth or dark flesh and bestial brown. The skin was just bestial, dwarf and then elf. Cuffs were painted a mix of catachan and chaos black followed by a highlight of camo green. Straps were painted in black and highlighted. Mustaches and grenades are codex, fortress and skull white. The feathers were layered with the same colors, going from dark (inside) to light (outside). Pretty simple!
Final stage is next which includes the hat and base since they use the same three color combination.

And the finished bunch:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4714.jpg
The hats and bases received pretty much the same treatment. Scorched brown basecoat followed by a drybrush of graveyard earth and then bleached bone. Officers and sgts get white fur hats.
Along with a plasma gunner and extra trooper I painted, these guys form the 2nd squad of 3rd platoon.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4715.jpg
The one with the stormbolter is the officer of 3rd platoon while the sgt with the pistol and gladius is the leader of 1st squad, 3rd platoon.
All that's left is a full infantry squad, 3 autocannons and the rest of the command squad including a commissar.
Great army LotE! The various C.O.s are especially cool! :)
I am even more impressed after painting some Vostroyons myself at the weekend. They are beautiful but very fiddly (IMO) to paint. Yo must have a lot more patience than me!
Keep up the good work!

17-02-2008, 05:39
I appreciate it guys!
The bases are pretty simple. Scorched brown heavily drybrushed over black followed by a drybrush of graveyard earth and then bleached bone. Rims are painted in many thin layers of graveyard. The leaves are from a british company called Atenociti (http://www.barrule.com/Workshop/scratch%20builders%20paradise/leaves,%20feuilles,%20blatter,%20fogli.html). I took half of the brown ones and dusted them with red spray paint and mixed 'em all together to get various tones.
I'm currently finishing up the last squad of guys. Then I need to paint 2 autocannon teams for the squads (when I find some zzap gun chassis) as wel as the platoon command squad and commissar.
I'm working on a neat banner bearer conversion using one of the sniper models and a bretonnian falconer arm.

The last squad of 3rd platoon is complete...well sort of:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4740.jpg
To complete the platoon, I need to paint 9 more models. Most of these comprise of weapons teams and command.
I am in need of bitz so I reach out once again to the Warseer community.
I'm looking for the following:
3 zzap gun chassis
3 plastic cadian heavy weapon autocannons
1 Vostroyan with plasma gun
1 Sigmar priest (the newer one running with the hammer)
1 plastic empire banner (not the one with the tassles around the edges)
Woah you only do one 3 paint colours for the face :P I thought you would do quite a few more, meh thats me :D
If i get my hands on some vostryans anytime soon, i will "TRY" and replicate your models, oh wait copyright laws? lol
Catchya!
great work! brilliant detail for footsloggers!

are those leaves on the base?

They are birch seeds. See post 1734 for more details.
Finished up Commissar Redquest. I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can dull coat all my stuff! They look a lot better when they aren't shiny. I also blame the lighting for washing out my shading, etc etc...:p

The 2nd guy is the start of my banner bearer conversion.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/Wicked_Cold/100_4743.jpg
I currently have a trade-a-thon going on in the "Wanted" section. Hopefully I can get the last remaining parts and models I need to finish this army.
On a seperate note, I'm flying over to London for spring break and will be heading to Nottingham. That Malcador is looking pretty good...
extremly nice i love your army, its a great inspiration.

And yes, it is indeed a falcon. I have 3 animals in my IG army (so far). Why? You'll find out in Issue 6 of FIREBASE!
