ok first try at necromunda, but i wanted something "diffrent" my idea for my gang was that the gang had previously been quite large, but after an accident many members where killed. The brilliant leader Aximil "Reanimator" used his mad science to resurrect his friends as cyborg zombies, for advancements i would only pick ballastic skill, toughness, and strength

I like the novel idea and the figs, good stuff.
I'm alot less talented with the green stuff and would have used the pit slaves to pull off such an idea.

I have recently strated and am using scouts as sort of muscley men for my Van Saar gang, I love your idea maybe add some necron body parts in aswell to represent the cyborg implants

You do realise that your Jotun 'gangers' are bigger than ogres?

The Jotun are very big, they on 40mm bases to give you an idea. Lovely models just not sure suitable for what you plan on using them for.

Your leader seems to be a bit big as well, 36mm compared to 28mm regular Necro figs... It's a nice mini, but a tad on the large side... :)

well i scrapped that whole plan so i started coming up with other ideas

for a jsut for fun screw around, list i made a 3 figure list, a leader and 2 heavies. the idea was for a very elite strike force of van saar outfitted by the the of the wealthy house of van saar. this gang would be used as boss challenge in a campaign im creating which is a mix of role playing style ( kinda like DND) and necromunda battle rules. The party (real people playing) is all the members of a gang. of course i have to come up with a whole lot more items and equipemnt and things to meet all the requirements for role playing so its in progress right now. basically each person has a point buy system for starting stats, a set point value depending on their job ( heavy, leader, ganger). anyway thats a whole new post ill get to at some point.

the leader has plasma gun, grenade launcher /w plasma and smoke grenades, carapace armor, photo visor, a respirator, and a bio-booster. He has +2 ballistic, and + 1 toughness scores, and the weapon smith skill. He also has impressive scar stat ( basically jsut to add fear) but this isnt because of scar but because of his bulking size in very basic power armor, a weakend version of space marine, but home crafted by van saar specialist. ( pics of model to be below)

the heavies have heavy bolters, carapace armor, photo visors, and respriators, and bio boosters. same stat bonuses as the leader ( +2 ballistic, + 1 toughness) same weapon smith skill, and same fear ability

the battle plan is kinda simple for these guys but very devastating. the leader firs fires off a full charge of plasma on high at the closest enemy while the heavies rattle off their heay bolters, next round the while the plasma is cooling the leader drops smoke bombs in fron of the three man group. this doesnt really affect them because they all have visors so the heavies can still rat tat tat out and through the smoke with their high powered bolter rounds. then repeat bassically ( full plasma, bolters, next turn smoke bolters, etc) its certiantly a challenge at least i think so to fight, this gang only has 1260 in gear, but it would still be a beast a fight, the party would have to take full advantage of terrain to reach a point where they can shoot at them

Hm, interesting thing you're suggesting but the thing is huge for Necromunda as a setting... I suppose one suit could be crafted for the Van Saar lord, but three?

On the other hand, this is still Imperium we're talking about... Emperor knows what they're able to create... I'd plug a giant cable onto the back of it and make the armour all weathered and bodged together... But then again that's more an Orlock, not Van Saar thing... Hmph. Go figure.

fluff wise van saar has the best crafting ability, atleast im pretty sure, so if the family came together surely they could create a new serious of power armor
