The lauded 2007 Tournament Series starts soon and I can't find anywhere the army sizes that will be played. Adepticon is March 30 and they don't say whether it's 2000, 2250, 2500 or what. Does anyone have insights? It is a bit difficult to design, playtest, purchase, convert and paint an entire army in just a few months.

You can read the rules for the Adepticon Tournaments by trying to register and clicking on the different events that you can register for. I'm guessing that only the main tournament is going to count towards the Tournament Series Rankings, but I'm not sure.

IIRC, Friday's tourney is an escalation tourney. By this I mean that you play one game at 1k, one at 2k, and one at 3k.

The main tournament on Saturday(the one I think I will count) is at 2250 points I'm pretty sure.

I don't recall the points for each player at the team tourney. Either 1k or 2k per player.

Thanks for your guidance, pcgamer. I managed to find that army lists are to be 2300 points. Why would they choose that number? Are the other tournaments going to be the same?

Games Day Atlanta on April 28 is the next tournament after Adepticon. Any word on that one?

2,300 isn't something is widely spread but generally the more points above 2,000 (before hitting 3,000), the better the game is.

I searched GW's website, but I don't believe they have officialyl announced the army size for Atlanta yet. However, I can tell you that last year it was 1,500. Why? I have no idea.

The rest of them will be 2,000 though.

I got a super speedy response from Jeff Hall at GW. Props Jeff!

GW run Grand Tournaments (the 2 day events in Las Vegas, Chicago and Baltimore) are 2000 pts for Warhammer.

The Games Day tournaments (1 day events at Atlanta, Baltimore, and LA Games Day) are 1500 pts.

So far that's one tournament at 2300, three at 2000, and three at 1500. I guess nothing is ever easy.

There are several Indy tournaments that will be held this comming year all of which will be 2250. This includes Marauder's Mayhem, the Colonial, and possibly the Hilly Billy.

What is that about? I'm new.
